Every loose thread looks urgent when your brain has already started furnishing the disaster. The numbat has a smaller policy: inspect the actual snag, give it one clean tug, and finish the inch directly under your nose.
If the path still pinches, reverse without writing a character assessment. A problem can stay unfinished while you walk away. The day can keep several loose ends. You can answer the simple message, drink the water, or leave the crooked leaf where it is. Your nervous system may submit a twelve-page memo. The memo can wait. The useful question is smaller: what is the next thing your body can actually check?
