This fish hides in a manta ray's butt.

Researchers documented remoras diving into manta ray cloacas, the openings used for reproduction and waste, in seven observations across all three known manta ray species. They also recorded one remora lodged in a gill slit. 1

The dive is documented. The reason is still unclear: hiding from danger, feeding, and reducing drag are possible explanations, not settled facts. 2
