Rhinos get flown upside down.

A study of 12 immobilized wild black rhinos compared about 10 minutes lying on their sides with about 10 minutes suspended by the feet. Hanging nudged arterial oxygen pressure up 4 mmHg and carbon dioxide pressure down 3 mmHg, but both postures still caused substantial low oxygen and high CO2. The test used a crane near the ground, so it does not prove a full helicopter flight is safer. 1
