7 AI tools that help creators ship video this week (Aug 21–28)
A creator-first scan of seven dated AI launches from August 21–28, 2026 — Wan3.0 video, Wizstar avatars, Flova agent cuts, ChatCut Desktop, Screenify demos, Tellie Prompter, and Kira Community — each with a clear use case, verified pricing when available, and sources.
If you make content for a living, last week was not another "AI is changing everything" week. It was a shipping week: 30-second video from a deck or PDF, avatars that gesture without a studio day, agent-run demo recordings, and a teleprompter that actually follows what you say.
Window: August 21–28, 2026. Only dated launches below — each with a practical creator use case, verified pricing where we could confirm it, and sources.
Make and ship video faster
Alibaba Wan3.0 — deck in, 30-second clip out
Use it when: you have a brief, a PDF, a spreadsheet, or a landing page and need a vertical cut without rebuilding the storyboard from zero.
August 24: Alibaba's Wan3.0 went generally available. Clips run up to 30 seconds at up to 1080p, with native audio-visual generation in one pass. Input is omni: text, images, audio, video, documents, and web pages. One prompt can carry up to ten images, five videos, and five audio clips; the model also suggests length and can extend an existing cut.123
Pricing (Standard API, USD, billed by duration): list $0.05/sec at 480p, $0.10/sec at 720p, $0.20/sec at 1080p. Launch offer: 30% off Standard on Model Studio and Qwen Cloud through September 23–24 (console shows offer rates of $0.035 / $0.07 / $0.14 per second).12
Wizstar — digital stand-in that gestures like a person
Use it when: you need the same face and voice across product updates, localized ads, or training clips and you refuse another full shoot day.
Wizstar hit #1 Product of the Day on Product Hunt on August 21. The pitch is practical avatars: natural gestures, object interaction, and stable lip sync under head turns and fast motion. AI Avatar Turbo builds talking clips from a single photo or video; the fuller AI Avatar path clones look and voice for longer runs. The same stack also turns product links and briefs into ads, with translation and lip-sync into many languages.456
Pricing: new users get free credits. Paid monthly (current promotions on the pricing page): Starter $8.99 first month (then renews), Plus $36.27/mo, Pro $166.32/mo; Enterprise is sales-led. Exact credit packs and model mix sit on the live pricing page.7
Flova — Seedance 2.5 inside an agent video desk
Use it when: you already write briefs and scripts, and the bottleneck is storyboards, asset versions, and rough cuts — not the model tab.
August 24: Flova.ai shipped full Seedance 2.5 support inside its agent-native video workflow. You hand the agent a brief or script; it runs storyboarding, asset management, revisions, and rough cuts. Project memory holds long scripts and materials (up to 300,000 characters). A Skill Hub packs 100+ reusable production playbooks so the next batch reuses the same visual standards.8
Site: flova.ai. Paid tiers were not listed in the launch release — treat pricing as unconfirmed until you open the product.
ChatCut Desktop — talk the edit, keep a real timeline
Use it when: the talking-head batch is already shot and you want first cuts, captions, motion graphics, and B-roll without rebuilding every timeline by hand.
ChatCut Desktop landed on Product Hunt August 26 (the product's third PH launch). Edit with ChatCut's agent or wire ChatGPT / Claude Code; changes land on a fully editable timeline. Desktop runs on macOS and Windows; you can also work in browser and export XML to Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut. Generation covers video, images, music, and SFX from the same desk.91011
Pricing (first-party): monthly plans from $25 (100 credits) through $45, $88, and $160; higher credit packs listed on the pricing page. No free tier was shown on the public pricing page.12
Screenify Studio — product demos an agent can film
Use it when: you ship SaaS or apps and every release needs a polished screen demo without a full edit pass.
Screenify Studio launched on Product Hunt August 26. Describe the demo in plain English; an AI agent drives a real browser and records it, then adds 3D camera moves, spotlights, and callouts. Stage the cut in photoreal MacBook / iPhone / iPad mockups, add on-device captions, or drive the whole flow from a CLI / Claude Code skill. Mac only (Apple Silicon, macOS 13+).101314
Pricing: Free forever plan (unlimited record; local 1080p export up to 5 min with watermark; no AI pack). Pro $149 one-time (early-access list also shows $179); Pro+ $249 one-time (early-access $299). Free needs no card.14
Protect time around the work
Tellie Prompter 1.5 — the scroll that follows your mouth
Use it when: you shoot talking heads, live streams, or Keynote walkthroughs and every take dies on a speed-based prompter.
Tellie Prompter 1.5 hit Product Hunt August 26. The Mac notch prompter follows the words you actually say, waits when you improvise, and tracks must-cover sections with a live coach and post-take debrief. Invisible to Zoom and screen recorders; ~3 MB; on-device speech; no account. Presenter Magic pulls Keynote speaker notes into the notch.1516
Pricing: basic teleprompter free forever. Pro: 10-day trial, then $29 one-time (PH code PRODHUNT10 was listed at $19 on the launch page). Up to 3 Macs; 14-day refund.1516
Kira Community — share the AI stills you already make
Use it when: you already generate image/video moments in Kira and want a feed, hashtags, and free-credit loops instead of dumping files into a private folder.
Kira Community launched on Product Hunt August 27. Tag creations with #hashtags, keep them on a profile, and browse theme feeds. Kira itself is still the conversational image/video agent (describe, edit by talking). The site was promoting PH-launch free-credit rewards for screenshots and community posts.1718
Pricing: free options called out on the PH listing; credit packs (e.g. Pro banners on the home page) sit behind account flows — treat paid numbers as unconfirmed until you open billing in-product.17
