Pudgy holds the bid, but blue-chip floors soften again

ETH rose 0.7% over seven days, yet four of five tracked NFT floors fell; Pudgy has the strongest bid support, while BAYC and Doodles carry the clearest risk signals.

The read

ETH rose from $1,840.77 to $1,854.16 across CoinGecko's seven-day series, a gain of 0.73%. The blue-chip NFT tape did not follow: BAYC, Pudgy Penguins, Azuki, and Doodles all finished below their Jul 17 snapshots, while CryptoPunks was effectively flat. 1
The cleanest signal is defensive, not bullish. Azuki's attempted return toward 1 ETH has failed for now: the floor is 0.909 ETH, down 0.66% on the report-window comparison, and its top offer is only 95.4% of floor. Doodles has the weakest price and volume profile. BAYC generated more 24-hour volume than it did at the last cutoff, but its top offer fell to 93.3% of floor, so the extra turnover has not repaired the bid.
Data cutoff: Jul 24, 09:00 AM, UTC-05:00. The seven-day move compares this capture with the Jul 17, 09:00 AM snapshot. The 24-hour volume comparison uses the corresponding 24-hour fields in those two snapshots. OpenSea's public analytics pages did not return the seven-day aggregate values or sale counts in this capture, so the table uses a current 24-hour pulse rather than inventing a weekly total.

* The Jul 17 CryptoPunks 24-hour field was 97.60 ETH even though the visible activity then did not support that total. The -68.6% comparison is therefore a rough page-to-page pulse, not a clean measure of weekly demand.
The listed percentage is a supply snapshot, not listing velocity. A higher or lower percentage here does not tell us how many listings were added, cancelled, or sold during the week.

What the tape says by collection

BAYC: turnover up, bid quality down

BAYC's floor is 8.57 ETH, down 0.28 ETH from the Jul 17 snapshot. The top offer is 8.00 WETH, leaving a 6.7% gap to floor. That is materially wider than the 8.60 WETH offer shown in the last issue, even as the current 24-hour volume reading rose to 59.37 ETH. 2
The current activity page shows an 8.65 WETH sale for BAYC #3830 and a 14 ETH sale for #7360. The captured rows do not provide usable relative timestamps for those prints, so they are evidence of premium transactions visible now, not verified week-specific sweeps. 7
Read: wait. A tighter offer near 8.57 ETH matters more than a single higher-priced sale. The present bid gap does not support chasing the floor.

CryptoPunks: flat floor, thinner measurable flow

CryptoPunks is essentially unchanged at 31.99 ETH, but the current 24-hour volume reading is only 30.65 ETH and listed supply remains high at 11.1%. The marketplace page did not expose a top offer in this capture. 3
The visible activity snapshot includes 69 ETH and 57 ETH sales, but it does not expose reliable timestamps or buyer wallets for those rows. They should not be labeled whale buys or sweeps, and the aggregate floor has not moved enough to confirm broad demand. 8
Read: hold or wait for breadth. A flat floor with 11.1% listed supply is not a clean breakout signal, especially when the current volume field is far below the anomalous Jul 17 reading.

Pudgy Penguins: volume improves, floor does not

Pudgy is at 4.096 ETH, down 0.1439 ETH from Jul 17. Its 4.01 WETH top offer is close to floor at 97.9%, and 24-hour volume is up to 49.09 ETH. The combination is better than the bid structure in BAYC, but price still has not reclaimed the prior 4.24 ETH area. 4
The activity capture shows near-floor sales around 4.03 to 4.10 WETH and an isolated 5.02 WETH print. The rows do not provide buyer identities or a timestamped multi-item sequence, so no sweep is confirmed. 9
Read: watch, do not chase. The bid is the healthiest among the large-cap names, but a sustained reclaim above 4.24 ETH is still missing.

Azuki: the 1 ETH retest has failed

Azuki is at 0.909 ETH, down 0.006 ETH from Jul 17. The floor is 4.4% lower on OpenSea's one-day field, and the top offer is 0.867 WETH, or 95.4% of floor. Listed supply also rose to 4.9% from 4.6%. 10
The current activity page displayed a 1.39 ETH sale and a 1.2808 ETH sale 18 minutes before capture, alongside near-floor prints. Each shown sale had quantity one, and no buyer wallet was exposed, so the premium trades are not evidence of a sweep. 11
Read: reduce urgency. The premium prints show that selected pieces still trade, but the floor, bid gap, and listed supply do not confirm a broad 1 ETH repair.

Doodles: lowest priority

Doodles fell to 0.3836 ETH, the largest report-window decline at 5.19%. Its 24-hour volume is 3.66 ETH, down 26.7% from the Jul 17 snapshot. The top offer is close at 0.378 WETH, but the narrow spread cannot compensate for weak turnover and a falling floor. 6
The current activity rows include sales at 0.661 ETH, 0.50 WETH, and 0.491 ETH, but the captured page does not provide usable timestamps or buyer wallets. No sweep is confirmed. 12
Read: avoid fresh risk until price can reclaim the 0.40 ETH area with more than isolated premium prints.

Execution map

  1. Wait on BAYC: the wider 8.00 WETH bid gap outweighs the stronger 24-hour volume reading.
  2. Keep CryptoPunks on the watchlist: 31.99 ETH is stable, but 11.1% listed supply and incomplete flow data require confirmation.
  3. Watch Pudgy Penguins for a 4.24 ETH reclaim: its 97.9% bid-to-floor ratio is the best structural support in the group, but the floor still lags.
  4. Treat Azuki as a retest, not a breakout: 0.909 ETH and 4.9% listed supply leave the 1 ETH case unconfirmed.
  5. Keep Doodles last: the floor and 24-hour volume both weakened, despite a top offer close to the floor.

Coverage limits

This report uses OpenSea for the collection snapshots. The Blur BAYC page returned an empty application shell, while the Magic Eden Ethereum BAYC page returned a not-found page. No cross-marketplace arbitrage comparison is made.
OpenSea did not expose comparable seven-day volume totals, weekly sale counts, listing additions, listing cancellations, listing velocity, or unique buyer and seller counts in this capture. Owner counts are shown by the marketplace, but they are not substitutes for weekly buyer or seller counts. Wallet identities were also unavailable for the activity evidence above, so no whale attribution or sweep claim is made.
The practical signal is narrow: Pudgy has the strongest visible bid support, BAYC has the clearest bid deterioration, Azuki has not repaired 1 ETH, and Doodles remains the weakest tape. CryptoPunks needs broader, timestamped flow evidence before its large visible prints can carry more weight.
