Sometimes the mind wants a complete explanation before it allows a small move. A Budgett's frog is built for shallows, mud, and routes that occasionally end under a branch. The frog can press one foot, discover a gap is wrong, back out, and keep going while the afternoon remains unexplained.
Use the smallest part of the situation you actually know. Let a jam tell you about the route in front of you. Reverse before the wrong angle becomes a story about your character. Then move one body-sized distance. A clear answer may arrive after your body has already left.
