This week’s set keeps it simple: no chemicals, no power tools, and no special shopping list. Each card turns a common household leftover or office supply into a small clutter fix for closets, desks, and cord drawers.

Hack #1: Paper Towel Boot Shapers

Slide one or two clean, dry paper towel rolls into each tall boot before storage. The tubes prop up the boot shaft so folds do not sit in the same place for months, which helps reduce creasing. Tip: only use dry rolls, and let damp boots fully air out first. 1

Hack #2: Shower-Ring Scarf Hanger

Clip shower curtain rings onto a sturdy hanger, then loop one scarf or belt through each ring. It moves small accessories into vertical closet space instead of letting them pile up in a drawer. Caution: use a strong hanger and avoid overloading it with heavy belts. 2

Hack #3: Bread-Tab Cord Labels

Write the device name on a plastic bread tab, then clip it near the plug end of the cord. Family Handyman recommends this because the tabs are sturdy, easy to write on, and can clip around cords. Tip: keep the label near the plug, away from the outlet slots. 3

Hack #4: Binder Clip Cable Dock

Clamp binder clips to the edge of a desk and run charging cords through the metal handles. HGTV notes that this keeps charging cords within reach; the clip handle works like a small gate so cable heads do not slide behind the desk. Caution: pad or avoid delicate desk edges that could mark easily. 4

Hack #5: Toilet-Roll Cord Cubbies

Stand empty toilet paper rolls inside a shoebox, then tuck one small cord into each tube. The separate tubes keep cords from tangling and make it easier to find the one you need later. Tip: best for light, small cords; use sturdier storage for heavy extension cords. 5
Which clutter zone should get the next round: pantry shelves, laundry closet, or entryway drop zone?
