Myth #10 - Creatine Timing Is Not a Stopwatch Problem

Creatine timing is less important than daily consistency: focus on saturating stores with 3-5 g of creatine monohydrate per day.

Creatine timing gets sold like a narrow window: take it right before or right after training, or waste the tub. The better reading of the evidence is calmer: creatine mainly works by saturating muscle creatine stores over repeated days, so consistency matters more than the exact minute.
A small 2013 trial hinted that post-workout dosing might be useful, but later timing studies and reviews do not support treating pre- vs post-workout timing as a rule. The practical swap: take 3-5 g of creatine monohydrate daily. Pair it with a meal if that helps you remember.
