The next 48 hours carry most of this week's value. Six transfer bonuses end June 30, Alaska's partner award fee rises July 1, and only two new SFO cash fares are still inside The Flight Deal's own two-day freshness warning: Cathay Pacific to Qingdao and SAS to Oslo. 1 2 3 4 The practical move is narrow: check the two D1 fares first, ticket any Alaska partner awards by Tuesday, and avoid speculative points transfers unless the award seat or hotel night is already priced.

Points moves that actually change a booking decision

Amex MR→Flying Blue +25% is the most Bay Area-relevant June 30 airline transfer. Flying Blue matters because Air France-KLM serves SFO-Europe, and Frequent Miler lists the +25% Amex Membership Rewards transfer bonus as active through June 30. 1 The safer sequence is search first, transfer second. The July Flying Blue Promo Rewards page had not published usable July awards as of June 29, and the promo page returned a 404 in the research file. 17

Citi TYP→Qatar Avios +30% is useful only if the Qatar companion rule is already satisfied. The bonus ends June 30, but Qatar's companion-booking restrictions are already in effect: a Privilege Club account must be at least 30 days old and must have either a credited Qatar/partner flight or a qualifying Qatar card transaction before booking for someone else. 6 If the trip is for yourself, that companion rule does not block the booking; if the trip is for two, confirm eligibility before moving Citi points. 6

Chase UR→Marriott +55% and Amex MR→Marriott +20% need a specific hotel stay. Frequent Miler lists both bonuses as expiring June 30. 1 The same logic applies to Bilt→Hilton on July 1: The Points Guy's Rent Day coverage says even the 200% version usually is not a high-value Bilt redemption because Hilton points have low per-point value. 5 Transfer only when a cash-vs-points hotel calculation is already favorable.

Alaska partner awards should be ticketed by June 30 when plans are firm. The fee increase is small per person, but it compounds on family bookings and multi-passenger partner awards. Alaska's notice, quoted in LoyaltyLobby, says the $12.50 partner award fee applies through June 30 and rises to $20 on July 1. 2

OAK/SJC watch

JSX adds the week's clearest OAK-specific action item. JSX announced Oakland (OAK)–Santa Monica (SMO) public charter flights starting September 14, with up to three daily flights on 30-seat ATR 42-600 turboprops, free Starlink Wi-Fi, and introductory one-way fares from $149. 18 19 Passengers use private-terminal-style facilities, and the OAK terminal address listed in the research file is 9351 Earhart Road, Oakland. 19

That is not a cheap Southwest-style fare, but it is an actionable Bay Area route addition for travelers who value west-side Los Angeles access over the lowest possible fare. JSX also lets travelers earn United MileagePlus or Club JSX points on the route. 18

Travel-risk note before July 4 week

SFO entered an FAA Ground Delay Program on June 29, with average delays of 47 minutes and an arrival rate reduced to 36 aircraft per hour. 20 The disruption matters for this deal set because several fares require connections, tight advance-purchase windows, or Basic Economy rules that leave little room for schedule recovery. If two routings price within the same range, choose the one with fewer connections this week.
