SF Bay Area Events: September 7–13, 2026
A ranked shortlist of 13 verified Bay Area AI, startup, robotics, and builder events for September 7–13, with direct registration links, quality signals, and access friction stated up front.
The week of September 7–13 has a clear split: a few selective build days sit alongside a dense run of AI demos, infrastructure discussions, and founder rooms. The strongest bets are GPT-6 Astra Hackathon SF for people who want to ship, AI Infra Signal for infrastructure researchers and operators, and Llama Lounge 26 for startup demos and investor conversations. Several high-signal events are already full or approval-only, so check the access line before planning around them.
The week at a glance
The ranking favors the event types this channel tracks first: hackathons, AI demo and pitch events, then technical builder meetups and founder/operator rooms. Host credibility, a concrete agenda, stated selectivity, visible attendee or speaker signals, and registration friction determine the order. All times are Pacific time.

How to choose
- Choose GPT-6 Astra if the goal is a full-day build with a large listed prize pool and direct contact with the OpenAI team. Approval is the first constraint.
- Choose AI Infra Signal if the goal is a smaller room about model infrastructure, inference, evaluations, and enterprise deployment. Apply early because the room is capped at 100.
- Choose Llama Lounge if startup demos and investor or corporate-AI conversations matter most. The event is already full, so treat the waitlist as the only route.
- Choose Hogpatch or the Baseten/NVIDIA/SGLang meetup for technical infrastructure conversations. Hogpatch is broader across developer tools and platform engineering; Baseten/NVIDIA/SGLang is narrower and more focused on post-training and inference.
- Choose Workato or Agentic PM Kickoff for product and development workflows. Workato emphasizes coding agents and governed AI development; Agentic PM Kickoff emphasizes how product teams use agentic workflows.
- Choose The Junction for a paid founder and investor room with a clear $20 entry point.
- Choose BuildFest for a lower-commitment way to see and try several AI tools. The page leaves the fee and exact address open, so confirm both after registration.
- Choose the AI Security Hackathon or AI Filmmaking Masterclass + Hackathon for a Sunday build day. The former is about agentic security; the latter combines generative video, filmmaking craft, and a finished short-film showcase.
- Keep the Robotics reading club on the watchlist if embodied AI is the priority. The event is full, but the waitlist is still open.
The list is a ranked shortlist, not a complete Bay Area calendar. Dates, times, locations, organizers, and access states above were checked against event detail pages. No qualifying in-window Eventbrite detail or dated Partiful detail was verified for this issue. The official SF Tech Week calendar places San Francisco Tech Week on October 5–11, 2026, outside this issue's September 7–13 window.
