SF Bay Area Events: San Francisco Tech Week, October 5–11, 2026

A ranked shortlist of the Bay Area's AI, founder and builder events for San Francisco Tech Week, October 5 to 11, 2026, with registration status, quality signals and a direct link for every entry.

SF Bay Area Events of the Week
SF Bay Area Events of the Week@NeoDrop Official
San Francisco Tech Week runs Monday, October 5 through Sunday, October 11, and this edition is built around it. The festival's calendar carries hundreds of listings across the seven days, spread from the Ferry Building and Jackson Square out to Alameda and Menlo Park. a16z runs the week, entry costs nothing, and almost every listing still needs its own registration. 12
Landing inside the same seven days is the third Conference on Language Modeling, October 6 to 9 at the Hilton Union Square. COLM runs as a single track, keynoted by Chelsea Finn and Jennifer Pan on Tuesday, John Langford and a panel on Wednesday, and Henry Farrell and Jason Eisner on Thursday, with a fourth day given over to workshops. Its general registration sold out, and the waitlist is now the way in. 3
Almost every room is free, so the scarce resource is a seat, and the rooms that published a programme filled first. Application-and-approval has become the normal door on the strongest evenings, and several of those applications are worth filing Sunday night rather than Tuesday.
Everything below was checked on Sunday, October 4, 2026, and the times are Pacific Daylight Time. Where an entry says the room was full, the waitlist is the way in, and hosts release places from it as the date nears.

The week at a glance

Ranking weighs topic relevance first, then the evidence of quality: who is hosting, whether a programme or speaker list is published, how selective the room is, and whether registration is still open. The registration status in each row is what the event's own page reported on October 4.

Monday, October 5

The week opens on a rooftop and in a café

SF Tech Week Kickoff Party at Shack15 runs 7:00 PM to midnight at Shack15. Cerebral Valley and SHACK15 host, and they have published the terms plainly: founders and AI builders, strong drinks, and no benchmarks, evals or safety rails. It is the one room where the week's population gathers before the week scatters, and it runs on host approval rather than open RSVP. Status: confirmed listing; registration open, approval required. Request entry to the Kickoff Party. 13
Ship it & Sip it: Software Factories Night runs 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Corgi Cafe, 9 Claude Ln. CopilotKit's premise is the thread running through the rest of the week: coding agents stopped being assistants, and the industry is now racing to orchestrate fleets of them against real codebases, with the guardrails that make it trustworthy. The evening is speaker demos, then five-minute community demos with no pitches, then smoothies and boba. Status: confirmed listing; registration full when checked, 670 going, waitlist open. Join the Ship it & Sip it waitlist. 18

Tuesday, October 6

The strongest free programme of the week, and two demo nights

Camp AI: Production-Ready Agents runs 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the Ferry Building. The speaker list is the draw: Den Delimarsky, a core maintainer of the Model Context Protocol at Anthropic; Rita Kozlov, vice president of product at Cloudflare; Gareth Davies, chief product officer at Auth0; Paul Klein IV, founder and chief executive of Browserbase; and Shreya Gupta of Auth0. The subject is the gap between a working prototype and an enterprise-grade agent stack. Live demos come from CircleCI and Auth0. Status: confirmed listing; registration open when checked, 994 on the list, space limited. Register for Camp AI. 419
Claude Founder House San Francisco opens its three-day run at 11:00 AM and keeps going through Thursday, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, at an address released to approved guests. Anthropic describes it as a drop-in café and cowork space for founders, chief technology officers and technical leads building on Claude, with hands-on workshops, one-to-one office hours with its Applied AI team, and sign-up for the Anthropic Startups programme. Tuesday alone carries a women-founders brunch, a workshop on agents that own outcomes, a session with Walden Robotics and Foundry on AI in the physical world, and a fundraising session with Lightspeed, Sequoia and ICONIQ. Status: confirmed listing; registration open, approval required. Request entry to Claude Founder House. 5
SF Tech Week AI Demo Night runs 5:00 to 8:30 PM at CANOPY Jackson Square. ClickHouse, Artie, LlamaIndex, Langfuse and LibreChat have published eight demos with names attached — Artie, Shipfox, Snow Leopard AI, Vertical Flash, Bolder Apps, Eon, LlamaIndex and Taskless.io — on one rule: no slide decks, no pitch competition, show the thing working. Status: confirmed listing; registration full when checked, waitlist open. Join the AI Demo Night waitlist. 16

Wednesday, October 7

A finance summit, a builders' conference and a product conference, all on one day

Agentic Zero: The Agentic Finance Summit runs 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at The Avalon. The framing is specific and current: more than 100 million machine payments have already cleared through x402, and Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Stripe and Coinbase are all writing standards for a world where agents pay without a person clicking confirm. The day is built for the people building that infrastructure — founders, protocol teams, payment networks and the institutions adapting to them. Status: confirmed listing; registration open. Register for Agentic Zero. 7
init() by WorkOS runs 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at SFJAZZ, 201 Franklin St. WorkOS supplies the enterprise plumbing behind OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor and Replit — single sign-on, directory sync, audit logs, AI governance — and its conference is pitched at the founders, engineers and technical leaders building on top of that stack. Attendance is capped. Status: confirmed listing; registration open, approval required, space limited. Request entry to init(). 8
ProductCon San Francisco runs 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at SVN West, 10 Van Ness Ave. Product School's quarterly conference is the week's one large ticketed product event, and the line-up is published: Amjad Masad, chief executive of Replit; Jeetu Patel, president and chief product officer of Cisco; Ajay Arora, vice president of product at YouTube; Elena Verna, head of growth at Lovable; Amandeep Khurana of Anthropic; and Diana Kimball Berlin of Gamma. Doors open at 8:00 AM and the day runs eight hours. Status: confirmed listing; tickets on sale when checked. Open the ProductCon ticket page. 9
AI Demo Night: Startup Grind, AI Collective & Alumni Ventures runs 5:00 to 7:30 PM at an address released to approved guests. Startup Grind runs it as a monthly series, and the rule is on the page: demo only, no pitches, things will break. The judging bench is published: Alumni Ventures, Seligman Ventures, Cota Capital, CoreNest Capital, Mangusta Capital, Ly Corporation and six more. Registrations are reviewed by ticket type. Status: confirmed listing; registration full when checked, waitlist open. Join the AI Demo Night waitlist. 17

Thursday, October 8

A report launch, a cloud summit and a museum

State of AI Report 2026 — SF launch event runs 5:30 to 9:30 PM at an address released to approved guests. This is the ninth annual edition of the State of AI Report, and the launch is where its author, Nathan Benaich of Air Street Capital, walks the audience through the headline findings before the conversation turns to what they mean. Jamie Shotton, chief scientist at Wayve and Wayve Labs, is the second speaker. Status: confirmed listing; registration open, approval required; bring photo ID. Request entry to the State of AI Report launch. 6
NeoCloud Summit 2026 runs 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM at Hotel Kabuki, 1625 Post St. This is the week's most expensive ticket at US$995, and it buys one curated main stage on the layer of the cloud being built specifically for AI: the GPU-native neoclouds, the silicon and infrastructure partners behind them, the enterprises buying capacity and the investors funding the buildout. AMD headlines, with Cerebras, Supermicro, WEKA, SoftBank, Morgan Stanley, Cisco, Vultr, DigitalOcean, ServiceNow, SambaNova and Together AI on the agenda. Status: confirmed listing; tickets on sale when checked, approval required, seats limited. Request a seat at the NeoCloud Summit. 10
Developers after Dark runs 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Exploratorium. WorkOS closes the week in the museum after hours with Browserbase, PlanetScale and Laravel, and the format is deliberately playful: a pop-up roadshow of vintage technology, ESP32-S3 boards to solder on the spot, drinks, food and the exhibits to wander. Bring a laptop. Status: confirmed listing; registration open, approval required. Request entry to Developers after Dark. 14
The Inside Scoop: Fashion x Tech (Week) Happy Hour runs 5:00 to 7:00 PM at a gallery in Union Square. Indyx hosts a small room — 75 places — for the people who make fashion technology work: founders, operators, investors, stylists and creatives. It is the week's one explicitly dressed-up evening. Status: confirmed listing; 7 of 75 spots left when checked, 148 interested. RSVP for The Inside Scoop. 15

Friday, October 9

A wrap-up day across the Bay, and two evening rooms

SF Tech Week Agent Day runs 12:00 to 6:00 PM in Menlo Park, across the Bay from the rest of the week. Open Source for AI has published the whole run of show: five 30-minute talks on search, code discovery for agents, and agent uptime in Kubernetes, ten demos competing for a prize, and five roughly 50-minute workshops including building an agent harness and running coding agents in the cloud. The demo list and workshop leaders are named on the page. Status: confirmed listing; registration open, approval required, 813 going. Request entry to Agent Day. 20
Hardware FYI: SF Tech Week Edition runs 5:00 to 9:00 PM at Dogpatch Studios. Hardware FYI gathers the founders, engineers, operators and investors building physical products for a short fireside on where AI, manufacturing, robotics and product development now meet, then drinks and light bites in a working industrial setting. Attendance is limited and the ticket is US$99. Status: confirmed listing; sold out when checked, waitlist open. Join the Hardware FYI waitlist. 21
Human Performance, Capital & Innovation runs 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Commonwealth Club. MelanInScience, BLCK VC and NSBE Bay Area Professionals put the question of where capital is flowing across sports technology, health optimisation and performance data on a public stage, in one of the country's longer-running civic forums. Status: confirmed listing; registration open. Register for Human Performance, Capital & Innovation. 22

Saturday and Sunday, October 10–11

The week ends on two builds

The Harness Engineering & Model Wrangling Hackathon runs 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Sunday in San Francisco, at an address released to approved applicants. MongoDB brings its agent-infrastructure hackathon into the week's final day with a stated thesis: the next chapter of agentic infrastructure is memory, persistence and self-evolving systems. Teams of up to four build on MongoDB Atlas, Vector Search and its agentic memory tooling, judged by MongoDB's ecosystem. Status: confirmed listing; registration open, application and approval required, space limited. Apply for the Harness Engineering & Model Wrangling Hackathon. 11
The AI-Native Talent Hunt with Codex runs 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday at an address released to approved guests. Emergences Labs has built a hiring competition rather than a conference: pick a track and a role, then take a real work sample from a hiring company and solve it with Codex or any other AI tools while the room watches how you got there. Tracks cover engineering, product, analytics and operations, and the organisers state that they are scoring process as well as result. Status: confirmed listing; registration open, approval required, 857 going. Request entry to the Talent Hunt. 12
Saturday's technical room is the Claude Community Impact Lab, 2:00 to 6:00 PM in San Francisco, free and open, run by Claude Community Events with Build with AI Club. 23

How to choose

  • If you want to file one application tonight. Claude Founder House runs three days and covers the widest ground, and it takes applications rather than RSVPs. The State of AI Report launch on Thursday and the AI-Native Talent Hunt on Sunday are the other two where approval is the door and the wait is worth starting early.
  • If you want the week's technical argument. Wednesday carries it: Agentic Zero on machine payments all day at The Avalon, then the Open Source AI Stack sessions at the AWS Builder Loft in the evening, with init() running alongside both.
  • If you want to watch things being built rather than described. Tuesday night is the strongest set — Camp AI at the Ferry Building, the ClickHouse demo night at CANOPY Jackson Square, and the FriendliAI evening. Both of the Tuesday demo rooms were full when checked, so file the waitlist requests.
  • If you want founders and capital in a small room. YC's founders mixer on Monday and the State of AI Report launch on Thursday both run on review, and the Talent Hunt on Wednesday packs twenty pitching companies into one afternoon.
  • If you want a night with no build attached. Shack15 on Monday, the comedy show at The Faight Collective on Wednesday, Developers after Dark at the Exploratorium on Thursday, and the Union Square fashion-tech happy hour that same evening.
  • If you are planning around a trip. Two entries sit outside San Francisco: the USS Hornet deep tech demo night in Alameda on Tuesday, and Agent Day in Menlo Park on Friday. Everything else is inside the city.

Source boundaries and disclosures

This is a curated shortlist of the Bay Area technology, AI, founder and builder events worth knowing about for October 5 to 11, 2026, the week San Francisco Tech Week runs. Every date, time, venue and access state was taken from the event's own page, and registration status is what those pages reported on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Where an entry gives no street address, the host has not published one and releases it to registered or approved guests.
Registration status carries more weight in the ranking than any other quality signal, which is why the three rooms that were already full when checked sit at the bottom of the table, above the point where the rest of the Tech Week calendar was set aside. Those listings gave a title, a host and a time, and nothing a reader could use to judge the room.
Luma's San Francisco discovery listing supplied the bulk of the recall for the week, and the San Francisco Tech Week calendar at luma.com/sftw supplied the festival's own schedule; both were read on October 4. Cerebral Valley's events directory surfaced the MongoDB hackathon and the Camp AI evening. Eventbrite's San Francisco technology listings inside this window were mostly recurring networking nights, with ProductCon and the Tech Roast Show the two that carried a published programme. Partiful's San Francisco explore page carried one in-window technology event, the fashion-tech happy hour hosted by Indyx, and it is included. The COLM dates, venue, keynote line-up and sold-out registration come from the conference's own site.
