Listening practice: The satellite that reads ocean colors
This morning, look at the ocean as if it were a living map. From a beach, seawater may look simply blue or green. From space, those colors can carry information about tiny organisms, dust in the air, clouds, and the health of a changing planet. According to NASA, its PACE mission, short for Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem, was launched in February twenty twenty-four to study the links between the ocean and the atmosphere.
