Procurement signal in one minute

The most actionable movement is not a new headline tariff; it is the gap between hardware part pricing and aluminium input volatility. AL Circle reported that LME aluminium cash bid fell from USD 3,263/t on 23 June to USD 3,148/t on 24 June, a 3.52% day-on-day drop, while LME opening stocks slipped to 311,725 tonnes. 1 That gives buyers a short window to press for lower extrusion-linked profile quotes, but it does not automatically lower stainless-steel friction stays or nylon/POM roller assemblies.

For hardware categories, the accessible China supplier pages point to three buyer moves today:

Rollers: Foshan and Jiangxi listings still split sharply by construction, from USD 0.25-0.80/pc for a Jiangxi stainless/POM roller to USD 3.20-3.80/pc for a Foshan four-wheel sliding pulley.
Handles: Zhaoqing Keyi shows a clear volume break: USD 2.00/pc at 1,000-4,999 pieces and USD 0.99/pc at 5,000+ pieces.
Profiles: Foshan Hooke's accessible extrusion/profile rows are quoted by the tonne, around USD 3,300-3,357/t with a 1-ton minimum order, closer to aluminium-feedstock exposure than small hardware accessories.

Friction stays: Zhaoqing remains the clean budget anchor

Profiles: today's aluminium slide should be used in negotiation, not assumed as an automatic discount

Hooke's accessible profile rows are quoted around USD 3,300-3,357/t with a 1-ton minimum order. 5 Against AL Circle's June 24 LME cash bid of USD 3,148/t, that suggests the quote includes processing, alloy/extrusion and supplier margin rather than a simple metal pass-through. 1 If you are ordering profile connectors or custom aluminium sections, ask suppliers to separate raw material, extrusion, finishing and packaging in the quotation.

EU/UK compliance watch

For EU buyers, CBAM remains a procurement checklist item for aluminium goods. Finnish Customs lists aluminium bars/profiles/tubes and aluminium structures under CBAM-covered goods, and states that importers can bring more than 50 tonnes of CBAM goods into the EU customs territory per calendar year only with authorised CBAM declarant status or a pending authorisation submitted by 31 March 2026. 8 The first annual declaration for 2026 imports is due by 30 September 2027. 8

Practical RFQ wording for EU buyers:

Ask suppliers to identify whether the quoted item falls under HS 7604, 7608, 7609, 7610 or 7616.
For profile-heavy orders, request embedded-emissions data and mill origin early, not after shipment booking.
For handles, friction stays and rollers, still request CE/EN-relevant test documentation where the part is safety-critical or part of a certified window system.

Today's buying stance

Push harder on profile-linked quotes. LME aluminium's drop to USD 3,148/t gives buyers leverage on tonne-priced profiles and aluminium-heavy rollers, but less on stainless friction stays.
Separate sample MOQ from production MOQ. Hanzson's 300-piece stainless roller row is suitable for qualification orders; most repeat production rows still sit around 3,000 pieces.
Do not compare handle prices without lock status. A USD 0.80-0.90 non-specified handle, a USD 0.99 high-volume casement handle and a USD 2.00-2.50 multi-point lock handle may all be rational prices for different specifications.
Use Accio reorder-rate rows as shortlist signals only. A 43% reorder rate is useful, but final sourcing should still be based on a current seller quote, samples, certification files and inspection terms.
