Kishi Bashi brings Sonderlust back East

Kishi Bashi's Sonderlust era is back in orbit: the 10th Anniversary Edition arrived via Joyful Noise Recordings with two unreleased B-sides, demos of all 10 album tracks, and revisited artwork by Ssin Kim. 1

The album-in-full spring run gave the East Coast three clean stops: Boston's Royale on April 10, New York's Irving Plaza on April 11, and DC's Lincoln Theatre on April 12. 1

Kaoru Ishibashi, the Seattle-born second-generation Japanese American artist behind Kishi Bashi, built this lane out of violin, orchestral pop, electronic textures, and Japanese-language fragments. 2
