After Memorial Day — luxury deals still running

Memorial Day weekend closed on schedule — Bloomingdale's 65% tier, Nordstrom Rack Clear the Rack, and Shopbop EXTRA10 all ended May 25. What's left is a surprisingly active post-holiday landscape: two urgent countdowns (Dior MEMORIAL26 expires May 27, NM NMSALE expires May 27–29), four department store sales running at 40–75% off, and six brand-direct private sales headlined by Toteme now opening to the public. Full reference table included.

The MDW sprint is over. Bloomingdale's 65% tier came down, Nordstrom Rack cleared the rack, Shopbop's EXTRA10 expired, and NET-A-PORTER's Memorial Day event folded into its ongoing Designer Sale. Four countdowns hit zero on schedule — and a surprisingly large portion of the luxury shopping window did not close with them.
Below is where things stand Tuesday morning: what ended, what's about to, and what is, quietly, still very much open.

What ended with Memorial Day

Four events confirmed closed as of May 26: 1
  • Bloomingdale's 65% Memorial Day Sale — the broad-assortment tier ended May 25 on schedule. The separate 40% Designer Sale (Fendi, McQueen, Chloé, Toteme, Burberry, Christian Louboutin) survived and is running as its own event.
  • Nordstrom Rack Clear the Rack — the extra 25% off red-tag clearance event ended May 25. The site has reverted to its standard summer clearance at up to 65% off, without the flash bonus. 2
  • Shopbop EXTRA10 — Vogue confirmed the three-day flash code (May 22–25) as "for three days only." 3 As of May 26, no replacement sitewide code has been confirmed. Shopbop's regular sale section remains active.
  • Zimmermann sale — ended early on May 24 and has not been restored. The sale URL now redirects to New Arrivals at full price.

Expires soon — act before Thursday

Two active promotions have confirmed deadlines within the next 48 hours.

Dior Beauty MEMORIAL26 — gift with purchase, ends tomorrow (May 27)

Spend $200 or more on the Dior Beauty US site and enter code MEMORIAL26 at checkout to receive a complimentary red Dior makeup bag. The promotion expires May 27. 4 Dior account membership is required. This is the last full day to use it.

Neiman Marcus NMSALE + ENJOY — designer sale through May 28–29

Code NMSALE gives 40% off select designer styles at Neiman Marcus, valid through May 27. 5 A second code, ENJOY, provides tiered dollar discounts ($50–$500 off based on spend) through May 29. 6 Instagram posts from the brand during the weekend showed select categories reaching up to 50% off. A Neiman Marcus account is required; codes are entered at checkout.

Bloomingdale's is the quiet winner of the post-MDW transition. 7 The site's current banner reads "The designer event. Up to 40% off select styles" — the high-low dual promotion structure that ran during MDW has resolved into this single, cleaner Designer Sale. Christian Louboutin, Fendi, Alexander McQueen, Chloé, and Toteme are all confirmed in the 40% tier.
Nordstrom's Half-Yearly Sale continues through June 1 at up to 75% off, with luxury brand participation confirmed by both USA Today and InStyle. 8 9 Brands include Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Saint Laurent, Chloé, Ganni, St. John, Maison Margiela, and Mansur Gavriel. Note: Christian Louboutin does not participate in Nordstrom's sale — Bloomingdale's, Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Bergdorf are the department store channels for Louboutin discounts this week.
Saks Fifth Avenue continues with code SAKSSALE at up to 50% off, though no end date has been announced in any public-facing material. 10 Plan accordingly.

Brand-direct private sale wave: still going

Five brand-direct private sales are confirmed active today, along with one that just opened to the general public. The combined picture is what Magasin's Laura Reilly called "private sales everywhere." 11

The most notable development is Toteme: what was a login-gated private sale has now opened to the general public. 11 Toteme (the Stockholm-based minimalist label known for silk blouses, tailored coats, and clean-line leather bags) is running 40–70% off. Vogue noted the Cowl blouse at $590 → $354. 3 Access at toteme.com/en-us/collections/private-sale — no account needed now.
The Row's private sale is worth flagging for pace. As Vogue put it: "These under-the-radar finds tend to move quickly, so act fast before word gets out to the wider public." 3 The New York luxury label founded by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen is offering 40–50% off women's clothing, shoes, and bags — a depth that is genuinely uncommon for this brand.
One bonus item: Lisa Says Gah (an independent LA-based women's label) has a code still active despite its banner indicating the sale ended Sunday. Code SUNNY25 gives 25% off sitewide, excluding Frye. 12 There is no official announcement of an extension — this appears to be a backend oversight. Use it while it works.

Other ongoing sales: NAP, SSENSE, Farfetch, Mytheresa

NET-A-PORTER (UK-headquartered authorized luxury multi-brand retailer) continues its Designer Sale at up to 50% off, with select items reaching 70% off. Fashion writer Bradley Agather called it "not to be missed," singling out the dress selection: Carolina Herrera midis and Erdem party pieces. 13 No new clearance sale has been launched to replace the MDW event. Worth noting: a Charlton warehouse labor dispute (approximately 100 GMB union members walked out May 20–21 over a London Living Wage disagreement) remains technically unresolved. 14 GMB's union organizer Craig Prickett described the walkout as "a last resort and a cry for help." No resolution has been reported as of May 26. If you're ordering for a specific occasion, build in extra delivery buffer.
SSENSE (the Montreal-based luxury multi-brand e-tailer) continues at up to 70% off for men and up to 60–70% off for women. 15 Brands visible in the current sale include Rick Owens, AMIRI, Lanvin, Casablanca, Off-White, Jimmy Choo, Marine Serre, and Vivienne Westwood. Despite some editorial coverage labeling this a "Summer Sale," SSENSE's own pages still carry the generic "SALE ONLY" label — no formal Summer Sale launch has occurred. 16 Prices and selection are unchanged from the MDW weekend.
Farfetch (global luxury marketplace) has confirmed its SS26 Sale runs through June 24 at up to 50% off selected styles — resolving prior uncertainty about the event's end date. 17 No code needed; the discount is baked into sale-section pricing.
Mytheresa (Munich-based luxury e-tailer) Private Designer Sale continues at up to 50% off. ELLE highlighted the Max Mara Aceri Virgin Wool Midi Dress at $1,195 → $597. 18 Login required.

Saks Off 5th: a structural shift, not a sale

This one is more of a closing chapter than a deal. Of the roughly 57 Saks Off 5th (the off-price arm of Saks Global, the luxury retail conglomerate currently in bankruptcy restructuring) locations, 34 have begun liquidation sales at 60–90% off — and only 12 stores total will survive to continue operating in any form. 19 20
The online Saks Off 5th store is in full clearance mode and winding down. Saks Global expects to exit bankruptcy protection in June 2026. For shoppers near one of the 34 liquidating locations, the discount depth is real — but inventory is not being replenished, so selection thins by the week.
Glenn McMahon, a managing partner at MAC Advisory and Consulting, framed the situation plainly: "Just having last year's merchandise at 40%, 50% off in an outlet store is not a business plan." 19
