Crypto Market Daily — July 2, 2026

BTC is pressing back toward $60K and ETH has reclaimed $1.6K, but the latest final Farside rows still show nine straight outflow sessions for both BTC and ETH ETFs while sentiment sits at Extreme Fear.

BTC has moved back toward $60,000, ETH has reclaimed $1,600, and the tape is greener across most large-cap crypto. The catch: final ETF rows still show persistent outflows, and sentiment has slipped deeper into Extreme Fear.
Data cutoff: spot and market-cap data are from CoinGecko and Coinbase readings around 00:24 on July 2, 2026 (GMT+8). ETF-flow cutoff is different: Farside's latest fully populated BTC and ETH rows are June 30, 2026; the July 1 rows still show fund-level dashes with a 0.0 total, so they are treated as pending rather than confirmed flat-flow data. 1 2

BTC: rebound into resistance, flows still heavy

BTC is last quoted at $59,940.09 on Coinbase, up from a 24-hour open of $58,391.34 and near the upper end of its $57,717.55-$60,473.99 range. That makes the 24-hour low a useful support reference and the 24-hour high the first resistance reference, not a formal technical level. 3
The ETF tape has not confirmed the price bounce. Farside's latest final BTC row shows -$222.6M on June 30, after -$231.0M on June 29 and -$444.5M on June 26. The July 1 row is not usable yet because the fund-level cells are dashes with a 0.0 total. 1
The practical BTC read: reclaiming and holding the $60.5K area would turn the bounce into something cleaner. Losing the $57.7K area would put the market back near the lower edge of the current range.

ETH: $1,600 reclaimed, protocol watch shifts to Glamsterdam

ETH is last quoted at $1,614.96 on Coinbase, above its 24-hour open of $1,569.73 and near the upper half of its $1,550.59-$1,629.62 intraday band. The immediate ETH range is therefore $1,550 support reference against $1,630 resistance reference. 4
ETF flow remains the weak spot. Farside's latest final ETH row shows -$27.6M on June 30, following -$29.9M on June 29 and -$12.8M on June 26. As with BTC, the July 1 row is pending rather than confirmed flat. 2
The protocol catalyst to keep on the calendar is Glamsterdam, Ethereum's planned H2 2026 upgrade. Ethereum.org says the upgrade is aimed at scaling L1 and blobs, with proposals such as enshrined proposer-builder separation and block-level access lists under consideration. In plain English: the roadmap is about making Ethereum process and propagate more data without forcing home-running nodes into heavier hardware. 5

Major altcoins and standout movers

The large-cap board is mostly green. ADA and SOL are leading the specified major-coin set, while BNB is positive but lagging the risk-on move.

Across the top-100 market-cap screen after filtering out stablecoins, wrapped assets and tokenized treasury-style entries, MemeCore (M) is the standout gainer at +91.21% with about $1.68B in market cap. LAB (LAB) is the standout loser at -33.77% with about $2.82B in market cap. 6

Sentiment and macro context

The Fear & Greed Index dropped to 11 from 15, keeping crypto in Extreme Fear even while spot prices recovered. That divergence matters: price is bouncing, but the sentiment gauge is still saying positioning is fragile. 7
Macro is not easing the risk backdrop yet. The Federal Reserve's June 17 statement kept the federal funds target range at 3.50%-3.75%, said inflation remains elevated relative to the 2% goal, and pointed to elevated uncertainty linked in part to conflict in the Middle East. 8
That leaves crypto with a split setup: spot prices are firmer, but ETF demand and sentiment have not caught up. BTC dominance at 55.59% also says the market is not yet in a broad alt-led risk expansion. 9

Signals to watch over the next 24-48 hours

  1. Whether BTC can hold above $60.5K after touching the upper range. A clean hold above Coinbase's 24-hour high area would be stronger than a brief wick; a loss of $57.7K would put sellers back in control of the current band. 3
  2. Whether the July 1 Farside rows become final inflows, outflows or true zeroes. The current 0.0 totals are pending because fund-level cells are dashes. Final BTC and ETH rows will decide whether the nine-session outflow streaks continue. 1 2
  3. Whether ETH can keep $1,600 while Glamsterdam stays on the H2 roadmap. The price level is immediate; the protocol story is slower. Together, they decide whether ETH's bounce is just beta to BTC or has its own catalyst support. 5
