• The company said K3 approached Anthropic's Fable 5 with fallback and beat several named rivals on GPU-kernel optimization; Reuters also reported strong placements in third-party evaluations, while noting the claims and comparisons.

5. A study finds more AI debate did not improve research feedback

• A preregistered arXiv experiment had authors of 44 economics meta-analyses rank a single-model report against two multi-agent debate tools on usefulness for improving their own papers. 5
• The authors preferred the single pass by 0.66 rank points over mad-research and by 0.57 over paper-workshop; the latter used roughly 30 times as many tokens.
• The result is narrow: it measures perceived usefulness on finished economics papers, not actual research improvement, and the study found that an external AI judge often preferred a different ordering from the authors.
