The Springfield Three: The House on East Delmar

In the early morning of June 7, 1992, Sherrill Levitt, her 19-year-old daughter Suzanne “Suzie” Streeter, and Suzie’s 18-year-old friend Stacy McCall disappeared from a home on East Delmar Street in Springfield, Missouri. The FBI places the disappearance window between 2:15 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., after Suzie and Stacy had returned from graduation celebrations. 1

The house offered no clear explanation. Cars, keys, clothing, money, and the family dog remained behind, while police reported no apparent signs of a struggle. This episode separates those documented scene details from the conclusions they cannot support. 2

The investigation grew into searches across Springfield and nearby rural areas, with assistance from the FBI, Missouri State Highway Patrol, and other agencies. Later leads sent investigators to Webster County, farmland south of Cassville, and a hospital parking-garage theory. Bones were too old to belong to the women; laboratory testing of possible blood was inconclusive; and police found the ground-penetrating-radar theory not credible. 3

A man named Robert Craig Cox was investigated and interviewed in prison, but a 1996 grand jury issued no charges. The episode treats that history as an investigative lead, not a verdict. No person has been charged with the disappearance of the three women in the public record reviewed here. 3

A June 2026 report from KY3 said few new leads had emerged in recent years, while the search for information continued. The FBI’s ViCAP page was updated in March 2026 and still lists Levitt, Streeter, and McCall as missing. No verified arrest, recovery, DNA breakthrough, or confirmed new forensic result is presented here. 12

The record does not establish whether the women left together, who entered or left the house after the last confirmed sighting, or what happened beyond the disappearance window. Those limits are not a lack of story. They are the most honest description of an investigation that has outlived its first generation of witnesses.
