曉出都門 · Leaving the Capital Gate at Dawn

A winter-dawn farewell at the capital gate. The song follows an envoy riding west from Chang'an while the city is still grey with frost: palace bells behind him, hoofbells ahead, a sealed family letter in his sleeve. Guzheng leads with bright plucked notes and brief glissandi; guqin keeps the low undertone, erhu enters under the choruses, and a distant xiao leaves space after the turning point.
