雪嶺送別 · Farewell in the Snow-Capped Pass

An original 古風 song for day five — a scholar-official departs at dawn through a snow-dusted mountain pass, while monastery bells fade behind ancient pines and a companion watches in silence. Xiao (簫) leads for the first time, its hollow mournful voice carrying across frostbitten ridges, answered by guqin plucked phrases and erhu drones. The verses breathe in five-character lines (五言), spare and cold as the mountain air itself.
