Two cash fares broke below their floor prices overnight, and June 1 delivered the most significant points-program cluster of the week: a 50% Rove→Turkish bonus (the highest available anywhere right now), a delayed-credit 30% Citi→Qatar play, and American Express quietly ending its Qantas partnership with zero advance notice. The DL SRQ deal also supersedes the $276 posted May 28 — if you're sitting on that tab, close it and book the lower price.

New cash fares — posted May 31

Delta SFO → Sarasota, FL (SRQ) — $256 BE / $366 RE roundtrip

Delta posted this on May 31 at $256 Basic Economy and $366 Regular Economy, all taxes included — a $20 drop from the $276/$386 version posted May 28. 1
Route: SFO → Atlanta (ATL) → Sarasota (SRQ) → ATL → SFO, all Delta metal. Fare class: E (Basic) / V (Regular). Travel window: mid-August through September, Tuesday and Wednesday departures and returns. Advance purchase: 21 days minimum. Sample dates: September 2–9. EQDs: $293.96.
Normal SFO–Sarasota roundtrips range $315–$810 on Google Flights; Delta's previous recorded low was $267. 2 At $256, this sits below that prior floor. The Flight Deal called it "a good sale to/from Sarasota." 1
Regular Economy at $366 includes advance seat selection and a normal-size carry-on. Basic Economy at $256 means no advance seat assignment, last boarding group, no changes or cancellations after the 24-hour risk-free window, and zero miles earned on Delta — trade-offs that matter on a Tuesday/Wednesday-only travel window that limits schedule flexibility.
The May 28 post ($276/$386) is still showing on TFD's SFO page — ignore it. The May 31 update is the active deal. 1

American Airlines SFO → Lima, Peru (LIM) — $503 BE / $653 RE roundtrip

American posted this on May 31 at $503 Basic Economy and $653 Regular Economy, all taxes included — the first South America deal to appear on The Flight Deal's SFO feed in the current tracking window. 3
Route: SFO → Miami (MIA) → Lima, Peru (LIM) → MIA → SFO, all American metal. Fare class: B (Basic) / O (Regular). Travel window: early June — availability described by The Flight Deal as "extremely limited." Advance purchase: 1 day. Sample dates: June 2–9. Miles flown: ~10,398 / 2,590 Loyalty Points (Regular Economy accrues).
The normal SFO–Lima roundtrip range on American runs $590–$1,200 on Google Flights, with a FareCompare average around $649. 4 At $503 Basic, the gap against the floor is roughly $87. The Flight Deal called it "a good sale to Lima." 3
Regular Economy at $653 includes one checked bag and carry-on, standard AA terms. Basic Economy omits the checked bag (first bag $45/segment, second $100/segment), no changes or cancellations after 24 hours, and no miles accrual. No stopovers are permitted on this ticket. US citizens traveling to Peru for tourism do not need a visa — stays up to 183 days. 3
The "extremely limited" language is load-bearing: early June departures leave essentially no lead time, and the inventory behind a Day-2 discounted fare on a long-haul route can clear in hours. Check aa.com directly before booking through any aggregator.

Breaking program change: Amex drops Qantas

American Express Membership Rewards removed Qantas Frequent Flyer from its US transfer partner roster on June 1 with no advance notice — and no announcement after the fact. Qantas simply disappeared from the Amex transfer page. 5
Frequent Miler's Nick Reyes, who tracks partner removals closely, wrote: "I'm just really surprised to see Amex drop Qantas without any prior notice or notification after the fact. That's not typical of Amex." 5 Past cases of temporary disruption — like Emirates — prompted a page notice that transfers were temporarily unavailable. This time, the partner name is gone entirely, which Reyes treats as evidence of a permanent change rather than a technical glitch. The removal was first spotted by AwardWallet. 5
Reyes speculated the removal might relate to complaints from members who found phantom JAL award space through Qantas's search tool and then couldn't complete the booking after transferring — though he noted that a handful of complaints rarely causes a full partnership termination.
For Bay Area travelers: Qantas flies SFO nonstop to Sydney (SYD) and Melbourne (MEL), and the program offered occasional Oneworld partner value (including El Al, which lacks direct transfer paths from most US programs). That path is now closed.
The broader concern Reyes raised is worth noting: "Hopefully, they don't make a habit of removing partners without prior notice because it would be a real shame for a member to collect Membership Rewards points with a specific use case in mind, only to have the transfer partner they were targeting removed without prior notice." 5 If you were accumulating Amex MR with a Qantas redemption in mind, that strategy is no longer available.

New transfer bonuses — launched June 1

Rove → Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles: 50% bonus through June 30

Rove Miles (a travel rewards platform founded in 2025 by Y Combinator alumni, no credit card required, US-only) launched a 50% transfer bonus to Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles on June 1, valid through June 30. The standard Rove→Turkish ratio is 1:1; with the bonus, 1,000 Rove Miles converts to 1,500 Turkish miles. 6
50% is the highest bonus rate available among any active transfer bonus right now. To put it in context: the next-closest is Chase→Marriott at 55%, but Marriott points are worth a fraction of Turkish miles in airline redemption terms.
Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles is a Star Alliance member with a fare-based award chart that includes some of the most-cited sweet spots in points travel. From SFO, the rates that matter most:
RedemptionStandard Turkish milesRove Miles needed at 50% bonus
SFO → Hawaii (one-way economy, on United)7,5005,000
SFO → Europe (one-way business)45,00030,000
SFO → Japan / Korea (one-way business)52,50035,000
SFO → Middle East / India (one-way business)52,50035,000
Source: 7 6
One caveat the research data flags: these sweet spots are rates from the published award chart, and actual seat availability on partner carriers was not verified for specific SFO dates. Turkish Miles & Smiles releases its own metal generously but is more variable on Star Alliance partners. Check availability at turkishairlines.com before transferring.
Rove miles are earned through hotel bookings (up to 25x per dollar), flight bookings (1–10x), and a 13,000+ merchant shopping portal. The platform has 18 airline and hotel transfer partners at 1:1 ratios across all three major alliances (Accor transfers at 1:1.5).
Frequent Miler listed this bonus in their tracker but had not published a dedicated analysis post as of June 1. 6

Citi ThankYou → Qatar Avios: 30% bonus through June 30 (delayed credit — rebate play only)

Citi ThankYou Rewards has a 30% transfer bonus to Qatar Airways Privilege Club Avios through June 30. The mechanics matter here: the 30% bonus Avios are credited after the promotion closes, with a deadline of July 31, 2026. They are not available for immediate bookings. 8
This is a Qatar Airways-initiated promotion, not Citi-initiated — over 30 banks and points platforms are participating globally. 9
Frequent Miler's Nick Reyes described this structure as "my least favorite form of transfer bonus, since you'll potentially end up with points you don't actually need." 8 His recommendation: treat it as a rebate, not a lever. If you have a near-term booking that requires Avios, transfer now at the base 1:1 rate to book the seat, then receive the 30% bonus Avios by July 31 as a windfall on top.
The SFO math that makes this worth paying attention to: Qatar's SFO → Doha (DOH) nonstop is operated by an A350-1000 with Qsuite business class — one of the more aspirational cabin products accessible via Avios. A one-way Qsuite redemption on that route typically prices around 70,000 Avios. With the 30% bonus, you'd need to transfer approximately 54,000 Citi TYP to land 70,000 Avios (54,000 × 1.3 = 70,200). 8
The delay means you cannot use the bonus Avios to hold that specific seat today — but if you already have enough Avios to book now, the 30% becomes a real cost reduction on a future booking.

Chase UR → Southwest: 30%, expires June 5 (3 days)

Chase Ultimate Rewards (earned via Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, and Ink cards) transfers to Southwest Rapid Rewards at 1,000 UR → 1,300 points through June 5. 6 Southwest transfer bonuses are infrequent. Bonus points do not count toward the Companion Pass or tier qualification. Southwest also has elevated welcome bonuses active on all three personal cards (80K–90K points, no stated end date), pairing well for cardholders who want to build a Rapid Rewards balance: 10

Rove → Aeroplan: 25%, expires June 6 — ⚠️ transfers into post-devaluation chart

Rove's 25% launch bonus to Air Canada Aeroplan (1,000 Rove → 1,250 Aeroplan) runs through June 6, but the new Aeroplan award chart went live June 1. 6 The bonus does not fully offset the steeper transpacific increases: SFO → Tokyo business now costs 85,000 Aeroplan (up from 75,000), meaning you need 68,000 Rove at the 25% bonus versus 60,000 Rove at the old chart. SFO → Singapore is 102,500 Aeroplan, requiring 82,000 Rove (was 70,000). For SFO → Europe business (now 75,000 Aeroplan, up from 70,000), the 25% bonus still works comfortably — 60,000 Rove. 11

Amex MR → Marriott: 20% through June 30 — low value

The 20% Amex→Marriott bonus (1,000 MR → 1,200 Bonvoy points) runs all month. Frequent Miler listed it in their tracker without publishing a dedicated analysis post — their silence on the same day they covered Citi→Qatar is itself a signal. 6 Chase→Marriott runs at 55% through June 30; if you have both UR and MR and need Marriott points, move the UR first. The Amex version is worth considering only to top off a specific redemption where the alternative is buying Marriott points outright.

Nanjing, Haikou, Brussels, and Warsaw fares from May 26–27 are at 6–7 days old and should be treated as expired. The Cathay China city fares (Nanjing, Haikou) saw heavy inventory movement earlier in the week; anything older than Day 4 on those routes is a long shot.
