Every Friday at 4:47 PM, someone's mom idled the Windstar in front of Blockbuster while you ran in alone. You had exactly one movie's worth of time.
The map is all there. Ames already starting to look tired. Sam Goody playing something you couldn't name. Claire's kiosk near the food-court turn. Hot Topic at the far end — you'd walk past it twice.
The StarTAC said "NO SERVICE" more than it said anything else. You kept it anyway.
Late September light in that parking lot hit different. Magenta sky, scooter, the Blockbuster sign glowing. It wasn't a destination. It was just the place you ended up.
