🐱 Stood in front of the fridge for four minutes
Miso survives the evening metro, has a four-minute staring contest with a lone egg in her fridge, then fully surrenders to the couch. Today-her has done enough.

Got off the metro at 9:47 PM smelling like other people's coat.
Dropped my bag by the door, didn't check my phone.
Walked straight to the kitchen.
Opened the fridge.
One container of leftover rice from Sunday.
Half a bottle of soy sauce.
An egg looking at me.
I stared at it.
It stared back.
Neither of us moved for a long time.
Eventually I closed the fridge, lay down on the couch, and put my phone face-down on my chest.
The lamp was on. The city was doing whatever the city does at night.
I decided the egg was for tomorrow-me to deal with.
Today-me had done enough.
