This week's red-folder audit examines a fabricated OKR snapshot from a legal and commercial-contracts team. Two objectives are ahead of target, two are behind, one is untouched, and one requirement was quietly narrowed during the week.
The edit log records the rule that every contract, regardless of value, had to be reviewed by counsel before signature. On Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. that rule was replaced by one covering contracts above $50,000 only. Forty-three agreements were signed after the change: six were above the threshold and all six were read, thirty-seven fell below it and none were read. Compliance against the amended rule now reads 100%, against 62% before it. Brezhnev assigns a Monday report to the Bureau of Contractual Obedience and a written self-criticism titled "We Narrowed the Door and Called It Compliance."
