Fountain Garden leads Jun 2 radar, Optimus Prime runner-up on fresh data
LEGO Icons Fountain Garden (10359) takes the Jun 2 lead with the deepest discount on today's full tracked list (−31.2% vs. MSRP $99.99, BR avg $68.77) and composite score 1545.90, though BrickRanker data is 37 days stale. LEGO Icons Optimus Prime (10302) is runner-up at −22.3% with the freshest available data (May 26, 6 days). Honorable mentions cover Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica (+38.89% forecast, highest of all candidates), Great Pyramid of Giza, and BMW M 1000 RR. Four cooldown sets (AT-TE Walker, 501st Battle Pack, Gringotts, Hogwarts Great Hall) re-enter eligibility today. Secondary-market platforms at 23rd consecutive zero-listing run.
BrickRanker (a LEGO secondary-market price tracking site) is the sole data source today — secondary-market platforms have returned zero timestamp-verified listings for the 23rd consecutive run. Today's ranking shifts from yesterday's result: 10302 Optimus Prime and the cooled-down 10359 Fountain Garden swap positions, with Fountain Garden's deeper discount pushing its composite score to 1545.90, the highest of any tracked set with available data.

#1 — 10359 Fountain Garden
Set 10359-1 | LEGO Icons | 1,302 pieces | no minifigures | MSRP $99.99 (£89.99 / €99.99) | Released Nov 2024 | Estimated retirement Jul 31, 2026
BrickRanker's 6-month rolling average sits at $68.77 against a $99.99 MSRP — a −31.2% discount (saving $31.22 vs. retail). The 2-year post-retirement forecast is +29.04% (range: +9.61% to +41.67%), giving a composite score of 1545.90. 1
The −31.2% discount is the deepest of any set on today's full tracked list. At $99.99 MSRP, this is also the lowest entry-point set in the ranked tier, which lowers the absolute dollar risk — a meaningful consideration for buyers evaluating multiple positions simultaneously.
Two caveats worth noting. First, data freshness: the BrickRanker price was last updated April 26, now 37 days stale. The figure has not moved since the Jun 1 checkpoint, but a stale average means it may not reflect the most recent few weeks of trading. Second, liquidity is thin: only 26 total recorded sales since January 2025, averaging roughly 1.5 sales per month. Finding a listed copy at or below the $68.77 average may take longer than it would for higher-volume sets, and there is wider uncertainty around the actual cleared price.
Despite those caveats, Fountain Garden holds the top composite position because its discount-to-forecast combination (31.2% × 30 weighting + 29.04% × 20 weighting) clears the other candidates by a meaningful margin. If BrickRanker refreshes this figure in an upcoming run, the picture may shift — but on today's data, this is the mathematical leader.
Authentication checklist for 10359
Fountain Garden uses no minifigures, so verification focuses entirely on brick quality:
- Box verification: Confirm the LEGO Icons branding banner uses the correct typeface weight. Counterfeit boxes typically show darker, flatter print colors and a slightly off-size "Icons" wordmark.
- White arches and tan base plate: The set's centerpiece arched colonnade uses white architectural elements. Counterfeit versions often show visible injection-gate residue (extra plastic nubs) at the mold line on curved pieces.
- Transparent pieces: The fountain water effect uses trans-light-blue tiles. Counterfeits regularly show cloudiness or visible air bubbles in transparent elements — check in natural side-lighting.
- Instruction booklet: Genuine LEGO Icons booklets use saddle-stitched binding and a specific paper stock. Counterfeit booklets run thinner paper with a warmer, yellower white tone.
- Stud logo check: With no minifigures to verify, examine studs across multiple brick colors for the molded LEGO logo — this is the single most reliable authenticity indicator for any set.
#2 — 10302 Optimus Prime
Set 10302-1 | LEGO Icons (Transformers) | 1,508 pieces | no minifigures | MSRP $179.99 (£159.99 / €179.99) | Released Jun 2022 | Estimated retirement Jul 31, 2026
BrickRanker's 6-month rolling average is $139.92 against a $179.99 MSRP — a −22.3% discount (saving $40.07 vs. retail) — paired with a +25.92% two-year post-retirement forecast (range: +19.94% to +32.37%). Composite score: 1229.26. 2 BR user rating: 7.8/10 (8 reviews). Data last updated May 26 — the most current figure available in today's entire ranked field.
Optimus Prime has 275 total recorded sales since June 2022, averaging around 5.8 sales per month. That's significantly higher volume than Fountain Garden, giving the BrickRanker average stronger statistical grounding. The May 26 data refresh (just 6 days ago) also means the $139.92 average reflects recent market activity.
The set itself covers the full transforming Optimus Prime robot: it shifts from robot mode (with poseable joints) to truck cab mode, a design that has sustained collector interest through four-plus years on shelves. It is a LEGO Icons × Hasbro/Takara Tomy licensed product, which adds a layer of IP scarcity beyond just retirement. The forecast range (+19.94% to +32.37%) is also notably tight compared to Fountain Garden's range — a tighter range generally signals higher confidence in the directional estimate.
For buyers choosing between the two top picks today: Fountain Garden offers a deeper discount but thinner trading history and staler data; Optimus Prime offers fresher data and higher liquidity but a shallower discount. Neither is unambiguously superior — the right pick depends on whether a buyer prioritizes discount depth or data confidence.
Authentication checklist for 10302
Optimus Prime is one of the more counterfeited LEGO Icons sets given its recognizable IP and premium price point:
- Red color uniformity: LEGO's Bright Red has a precise color formulation. Counterfeits shift toward orange-red or darker crimson. Check color consistency across the full 1,508-piece build — variance between pieces is a direct counterfeit signal.
- Sticker sheet verification: The set uses sticker sheets for Autobot insignia and grille details. Counterfeit stickers show incorrect logo proportions and visible mis-registration. Examine the Autobot symbol's line thickness under magnification.
- Joint friction quality: Knee, elbow, and shoulder joints use Technic pin connections and must hold poses without slipping. Counterfeits use pins that are either too loose (figure cannot hold a pose) or too tight (white stress marks appear at connection points).
- Licensed co-branding on box: The genuine sealed box carries both the LEGO logo and Hasbro/Takara Tomy licensing marks side by side. Counterfeits sometimes omit or alter the third-party licensor mark.
- Metallic/chrome elements: Silver exhaust pipes and grille pieces use even metallic paint coverage. Counterfeit metallic coatings peel and show uneven application.
Honorable mentions
The following three sets clear the 15% discount threshold and carry meaningful forecasts, but each comes with a data-freshness flag:
| Set | MSRP | BR avg | Discount | 2-yr forecast | Data age | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 42161 Technic Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica | $49.99 | $38.29 | −23.4% | +38.89% | 68 days | Highest forecast among all; 23 total sales — thin liquidity |
| 21058 Architecture Great Pyramid of Giza | $129.99 | $99.04 | −23.8% | +29.97% | 37 days | +$0.01 micro-refresh on Jun 2 (rounding difference, not material) |
| 42130 Technic BMW Motorrad M 1000 RR | $249.99 | $182.32 | −27.1% | +26.33% | 97 days | Deepest discount among honorable mentions; data now over 3 months old |
A brief note on 42151 Bugatti Bolide: it shows the deepest raw discount of any set on today's tracked list at −34.4% (BR avg $32.80 vs. MSRP $49.99), but the BrickRanker page is missing both piece count and 2-year forecast data, which prevents a full composite calculation. Until those fields are populated, this set cannot be ranked. 6
Watch list
Several sets whose cooldowns expired today now re-enter eligibility. None cleared the composite threshold for a ranked position yet, but they are back in scope for upcoming runs:
| Set | MSRP | BR avg | Discount | Forecast | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75337 Star Wars AT-TE Walker | $139.99 | $112.36 | −19.7% | +16.26% | Cooldown lifted Jun 2; highest liquidity in full field (989 sales) |
| 75345 Star Wars 501st Clone Troopers Battle Pack | $19.99 | $15.33 | −23.3% | n/a | Cooldown lifted Jun 2; 2,864 total sales — by far the most liquid set tracked; forecast data missing |
| 76417 Harry Potter Gringotts Wizarding Bank | $429.99 | $391.50 | −9.0% | +15.90% | Cooldown lifted Jun 2; discount below 15% threshold |
| 76435 Harry Potter Hogwarts Great Hall | $199.99 | $176.19 | −11.9% | +14.80% | Cooldown lifted Jun 2; discount below 15% threshold |
The AT-TE Walker and 501st Battle Pack are worth flagging specifically for buyers who weigh liquidity heavily. With 989 and 2,864 total sales respectively, both have far more price history depth than most sets in this field. The AT-TE Walker also carries 9 minifigures including Commander Cody, a figure that has independent collector value.
Platform scanner: 23rd consecutive zero
All four secondary-market platforms — eBay, Mercari, Depop, and Vinted — returned zero timestamp-verified new listings in the 24-hour window ending June 2, 15:05 CST. This is the 23rd run without a confirmed listing on any of the four platforms. Probes on eBay returned only unrelated items (LEGO Friends sets, promotional merchandise); Mercari, Depop, and Vinted returned empty results. BrickRanker's retirement tracker holds at 110 tagged sets, stable from the Jun 1 checkpoint.
Price data: BrickRanker 6-month rolling averages. Fountain Garden, Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica, and Great Pyramid data from April 26, 2026 or earlier; Optimus Prime data from May 26, 2026.
