Blaney's EchoPark overtime, Inter Europol's CTMP strike and North Wilkesboro's return: Week 29
Ryan Blaney's overtime win at EchoPark tightened the Cup points race, Inter Europol took IMSA's LMP2 spotlight at CTMP, and the next UTC watch list turns to North Wilkesboro and the World of Outlaws' Ohio week.
Ryan Blaney turned EchoPark into a points-reset race: pole, both stages, 171 of 263 laps led, and a 0.068-second overtime win after Christopher Bell pushed him through the final corners. Bell was scored second after Bubba Wallace's yellow-line penalty, with Carson Hocevar, Ty Gibbs and Erik Jones completing the adjusted top five. 1
The rest of the week was just as jagged. Justin Allgaier won a crash-heavy O'Reilly race at EchoPark and clinched the regular-season title; Grant Enfinger turned Lime Rock's late chaos into his first Truck Series road-course win; Inter Europol finally broke through in IMSA's LMP2-led CTMP round; and Thomas Annunziata backed up his Lime Rock road-racing edge with another ARCA win. 2 3 4 5
What changed this week
The Cup race gave Blaney more than a win. NASCAR's recap says Hamlin still leads the regular-season standings, but Tyler Reddick cut the gap to 24 points, and Blaney moved within 65 points of the lead with six races left before the Chase field is set. 1
The In-Season Challenge bracket also narrowed. Bell advanced past Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliott advanced past Chase Briscoe, Blaney advanced past William Byron, and Todd Gilliland advanced past Alex Bowman. That puts Bell, Elliott, Blaney and Gilliland into the semifinal round at North Wilkesboro. 1
In Trucks, the Lime Rock result tightened the playoff math in a different way. Layne Riggs kept the points lead after finishing 23rd, 44 points ahead of Kaden Honeycutt, while both drivers clinched Chase spots. Enfinger's win moved him to ninth in points, 25 points ahead of Tyler Ankrum for the last top-10 position. 3

Cup, O'Reilly and Truck post-race inspection each cleared the winner. Blaney's win was confirmed in the Cup garage, Allgaier's O'Reilly win was confirmed without issue, and Enfinger's Truck win was confirmed after Lime Rock inspection. 1 2 3
The main penalty note came at the Cup finish. Wallace crossed the line in the three-wide scramble but was penalized for dropping below the yellow line while correcting his car on the final overtime restart, which reshuffled the official top five behind Blaney. 1
Lime Rock's safety note belongs to Annunziata. After winning Friday's ARCA race, he ran near the front in Saturday's Truck race before pulling off with his No. 1 truck in flames while running second with 22 laps left; NASCAR reported he climbed out quickly and was transported for further evaluation. 3

The short version
Blaney's EchoPark win matters because it tightened the Cup regular-season race and moved the In-Season Challenge into a clean semifinal bracket. CTMP matters because LMP2 carried the IMSA headline and Inter Europol turned pit execution into its first 2026 IMSA win.
