Amex Platinum offers for Sept. 22: a new Amsterdam Centurion Lounge, two car-rental credits, and nine deadlines on September 30 (2026)

The closest date this week is today. A targeted AllTrails offer worth up to $40 closes tonight, and behind it the calendar runs almost without a gap into September 30, when seven Amex Offers and two of the card's own quarterly credits end on the same day 1 2.

Two items are new. American Express opened a Centurion Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol on September 17, the 33rd in the network and the first in continental Europe 3. Turo and National Car Rental each gained a car-rental credit, both reported for the first time this week 4 5.

A Centurion Lounge opens in Amsterdam

American Express announced the lounge on September 16 and opened the doors the next day 3. The space sits between Concourses E and F at Schiphol, the side of the airport used for non-Schengen departures, and stays open from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day 16.

The lounge takes Platinum cards — consumer, business and corporate — plus Centurion and the Delta SkyMiles Reserve card, each with a same-day boarding pass for that airport 17. Entry is allowed up to three hours before departure, or five hours before a connecting flight.

Bringing someone in has a price on it. Free guest access requires $75,000 of qualifying spend in a calendar year, and below that threshold a guest costs $50 per adult and $30 per child aged 2 to 17 17. The card does not sell day passes at the door.

For a US cardholder, the practical difference is where you connect. Schiphol carries a large share of transatlantic and Asia-bound traffic, and until September 17 the premium lounges there belonged to KLM, Aspire and Privium. Amex's access to Lufthansa lounges ends October 1, two weeks after the Amsterdam doors opened 18.

Two car-rental credits, both paying 20%

Frequent Miler reported the Turo offer on September 15 and the National Car Rental offer on September 16, and both pay back a fifth of the spend: $30 on $150 or more at Turo, and $50 on $250 or more at National 4 5. Both run to December 31, which makes them the two longest-dated items in this week's table.

A fifth back is at the top of what the card's car-rental offers pay. Hertz, already on many accounts and expiring September 30, returns $75 on $350, or about 21% 9. Sixt paid $100 on $500 for the same rate before it closed on September 15 1.

One clause in Turo's terms changes the maths. The card's Car Rental Theft and Damage Insurance does not cover peer-to-peer vehicle sharing, so a Turo booking is the one rental where declining the merchant's own protection plan leaves you exposed 4. Price Turo's protection before you weigh its total against a rental counter.

The previous Turo credit differs from this one in a way that catches people. The cycle that ran to May 31 paid 20% back with no minimum spend and stopped at $30, so a $120 rental earned the full credit 1. The current terms need a $150 booking, and a rental below that earns nothing.

Both offers require a direct booking. National takes reservations through nationalcar.com, its app, its phone line at 844-382-6875, or the counter, and excludes bookings made through travel agents and third-party sites 5.

Dining: two chain credits closing with the quarter

Fatburger pays 10% back on a single purchase, up to $6, in a restaurant or online at fatburger.com, and the offer ends September 30 10. Fazoli's runs the same structure with a $5 ceiling on one purchase through the same date 11. Both surfaced from cardholder sightings logged September 14, so confirm each one in your own account before ordering.

The caps set how much you have to spend. Reaching $6 at Fatburger takes $60 on one bill, and reaching $5 at Fazoli's takes $50. Either credit works on a meal you were already buying, and neither pays enough to justify a detour.

The larger dining credit on the card works on a different mechanism and closes on the same day. The Platinum carries up to $100 a quarter at US restaurants marked eligible on Resy, and the third-quarter window ends September 30 with whatever is left unspent 19. Enrollment in the Amex account is required, and only restaurants carrying the eligible badge trigger the credit.

The wall on September 30

Seven of the offers in the table end on September 30, and they divide into two groups that need different actions.

The first group is Amex Offers that must be added to a card before the purchase: Hertz, Fatburger, Fazoli's, Wyndham, Alaska and Hawaiian, Marriott Homes & Villas, and Air France or KLM. Adding one takes seconds in the Amex app, and the spend still has to post by the same date.

Alaska and Hawaiian carries two published dates. The current deadline list gives September 30, and the older offer page gives October 30, so treat September 30 as the one to act on 13.

The second group is the card's own quarterly credits, which live in the benefits section rather than the offers list. September 30 closes the quarter for the $100 Resy credit and for up to $75 at US lululemon stores and lululemon.com 2. Both require enrollment, and unused value disappears at the quarter's end.

One change lands the next day. Access to Lufthansa lounges through the Global Lounge Collection ends October 1, so September 30 is the last day the card opens those doors 18.

Points transfers: one date this week, one warning

The 30% Membership Rewards transfer bonus to Avios ends September 27 and covers British Airways, Iberia and Aer Lingus 8. A second bonus pays 30% on transfers to Hilton Honors and runs through October 14 20. Both multiply points at the moment of transfer, which is a different mechanism from the statement credits above.

Transfers to ANA remain the item to hold off on. Frequent Miler reported on September 16 that some Membership Rewards transfers to ANA Mileage Club are now taking weeks rather than the day they used to take, that Amex knows about the problem, and that Membership Rewards is the only transferable-points program that reaches ANA at all 21. A transfer started today can leave the points in limbo while the award space it was meant to book goes to someone else.

Still open, into October

Three items from earlier weeks need nothing this week. Airbnb stays pay $30 back on $250 or 15% back up to $30 through October 20 22. The Platinum Member Airfares credit pays $200 after $1,000 booked through Amex Travel, through October 31 23. Turo and National run to December 31.
