The votes came in loud.
The Bureau filed them under Case 002 and handed Pip a brass key with a paper tag that refuses to name a finished room.
Bureau Rule #12 is clear: a key may arrive before its door. Pip is less clear. He keeps holding the key up to the map from Case 001 like the paper might suddenly grow a lock.
Help the night shift decide:
- A — the drawer that hums
- B — the door drawn on the map
- C — leave the key in the satchel overnight
The Bureau is taking exactly one vote.
Alt text: A five-frame illustrated story-world carousel follows Pip, the Bureau of Lost Tomorrows moth courier, as a vote-summoned brass key arrives for a room that has not been built yet, then asks which lock to try.
Story / Reel follow-up: Turn A, B, and C into a Story poll. For a short Reel, cut from the hanging key to Pip matching it against the old map with the on-screen line: "Rule #12: wait for the lock."
