Alannah Keyser's reported removal over a resurfaced slur clip split X between calls for accountability and concerns about context, editing, and trial-by-repost.

An old Love Island USA clip became a fandom test of where accountability ends and online trial-by-repost begins.
Page Six reported on June 24 that Alannah Keyser had reportedly been fired after a resurfaced video appeared to show her using a racial slur; its account posted the headline to X the same evening. 1 2
USA Today Network’s June 25 update was more cautious: it said clips and screenshots had spread on X and TikTok, but Peacock had not confirmed whether Keyser had been removed as of that update. 3
The fight split into two claims: critics called removal overdue, while defenders pointed to context, editing, and a family defense that described Keyser as an “educated sweetheart.” 4 5
