Costco's new book leads: June 16–22 warehouse scorecard
Costco's new June 15–July 19 US coupon book (86+ deals) activated Sunday and leads this week — TCL 65" at $529.99, Dyson V15 at $220 off, Tide Pods at $5 off. Sam's Club wins heat-and-eat food ($25.42/lb) and gas ($3.60/gal), plus a $8 in-store Club membership starting June 17 (lowest since 2022). BJ's wins tires ($160 off Michelin/Goodyear) and keeps its double-stacking edge.
Costco's US Member-Only Savings book activated Sunday, June 15, and it's the biggest story in warehouse shopping this week — 86+ confirmed deals across 19 pages, valid through July 19. 1 Sam's Club's Instant Savings Book (ISB) is in a stable week 2 with all 35+ deals unchanged from last Tuesday. 2 BJ's digital coupons roll continuously with no physical book — stacking on top of manufacturer coupons every day of the week. 3
That last point matters more than most shoppers realize. "Costco always wins" is a comfortable shorthand that costs you money. This week, Sam's wins heat-and-eat food by a clear margin. BJ's wins on tires. And Costco wins electronics and household staples. Here's the actual data.
Top 5 headline picks this week
| Rank | Category | Chain | Deal | Through |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 🥇 | Electronics | Costco | TCL 65" TV — $529.99 1 | July 19 |
| 🥇 | Vacuums | Costco | Dyson V15 — $220 off 1 | July 19 |
| 🥇 | Heat & eat | Sam's | Full dinner cart — $25.42/lb avg (vs Costco $26.95, BJ's $31.04) 4 | July 5 |
| 🥇 | Tires | BJ's | Michelin / Goodyear — $160 off tires + installation 5 | Ongoing |
| 🚨 | Membership | Sam's | $8 in-store Club membership — starts tomorrow, June 17–26 only 6 | June 26 |
No, that last row isn't a deal on a product — it's a deal on access. If someone in your household has been sitting on the fence about Sam's Club, $8 through June 26 is the lowest price since 2022. More on that below.
Food and beverages
Sam's wins on heat-and-eat. Allrecipes reporter Emily Hunt ran a real-money comparison of five heat-and-eat dinner types across Dallas locations in June 2026. Sam's came in at $25.42/lb average, beating Costco's $26.95/lb and BJ's $31.04/lb, with four of the five individual items cheapest at Sam's. 4 Hunt's conclusion: "If you hold multiple warehouse memberships, your heat-and-eat dinner choice is pretty clear: Sam's Club is definitely the way to go." 4
On the Costco side, the new coupon book brings summer snacking and pantry staples into strong value territory:
- Liquid I.V. hydration packets — $20.99 (sugar-free version also available) 1
- Honey Nut Cheerios 2-pack (27.5 oz each) — $2.80 off 7
- Goldfish Cheddar Crackers 45-count (1 oz bags) — $3.30 off (1–2 person household: fine for hosting, overkill otherwise) 7
- Clif Bars 36-count — $6.70 off; Perrier 24-count — $6.25 off; Celsius 18-pack — $6.00 off 1
Sam's ISB grocery has Kraft Mac & Cheese 18-pack at $10.96 ($4 off) and Spindrift 24-pk at $12.98 ($3 off). 2 The 18-pack is a lot for households of 1–2.
Household consumables
This is where Costco's new book makes the most noise for everyday shoppers.
| Item | Costco (June 15–July 19) | Sam's (June 10–July 5) |
|---|---|---|
| Paper towels | Bounty 12-roll — $5.60 off 1 | Member's Mark 15-pack — $20.93 8 |
| Laundry | Tide Pods — $5.00 off 1 | Tide Liquid 128 oz (100 loads) — $15.48 ($4 off, $0.15/load) 2 |
| Dish | Dawn Powerwash — $3.00 off 1 | Dawn Platinum 3-pack — $7.98 ($2 off) 2 |
| Dishwasher | Finish Powerball 90-count — $5.50 off 1 | Finish Quantum 90-count — $16.98 ($5 off, $0.19/load) 2 |
| TP | Kleenex 12-pack — $5.00 off 1 | Scott 1000 TP 45-roll — $25.48 ($5 off) 2 |
BJ's structural edge sits on top of all of this: it's the only major warehouse club that accepts manufacturer coupons, which stack on BJ's own app digital coupons. 9 One Instagram commenter documented $55.99 in coupon savings on a single Tide/Gain/Dawn/Downy/Clorox run at BJ's. 10

No coupon book to clip, no timing window to wait for — it stacks every day.
For households of 1–2: the Tide liquid at $15.48 (100 loads) and Finish Quantum 90-count at Sam's are both practical quantities. The Costco Bounty 12-roll and Tide Pods are larger but usable over months.
Electronics and kitchen appliances
Costco wins this category cleanly. The new book's electronics lineup is its strongest section:
- TCL 65" TV — $529.99 1 (Note: an Instagram rumor suggested LG 75" at $529 — that is unconfirmed and contradicted by all verified sources. The book features TCL, not LG.)
- Samsung 55" TV — $399.99 1
- Dyson V15 Vacuum — $220 off — one of the highest single-item discounts in the entire book 1
- Ninja Creami ice cream maker — $149.99 1 (makes ice cream from protein shakes too, if that's your thing)
- Ninja Crispi 5-in-1 Air Fryer — $124.99 (reg $159.99, $35 off) — includes 3 containers and lid, available in-warehouse and online 7
- Ninja Flip 10-in-1 Toaster Oven — $149.99 ($40 off) 1
- Appliance bundle (Whirlpool, Samsung, Maytag, Electrolux, LG): buy 2 save $100 / buy 3 save $200 / buy 4 save $300 / buy 5 save $400, with delivery, installation, haul-away, and 2-year warranty included 1
- T-Mobile switch — save $450 (new phone activation required) 1
Costco.com web-only (not in the coupon book): AirPods Pro 3 with 2-year AppleCare+ at $199.99 (from $249.99), Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 at $269.99 (from $329.99). 11
Sam's counters with the Samsonite Lineate XLT 2-piece hardside luggage set at $159 ($40 off) and the Shark ChillPill 2-in-1 fan at $99.98 ($30 off). 12
BJ's has the Optical BOGO renewed June 15: buy one complete pair of prescription eyeglasses with anti-reflective coating, get a second pair free (equal or lesser value, in-club only). 13 That's a structural benefit that doesn't show up in a coupon book but adds real value for anyone needing new glasses this month.
Gas prices
AAA's national average hit $4.044/gallon as of June 16, 2026 — down from $4.161 a week ago and $4.517 a month ago. 14
Loading chart…
Sam's wins by the thinnest margin at Harrisburg, PA: $3.60/gal vs Costco and BJ's both at $3.63/gal. 15 Regional variation is real — check GasBuddy for your specific location before driving out of your way.
BJ's stackable gas discount: Club+ adds 5¢/gal; BJ's One Mastercard adds 10¢/gal; BJ's One+ adds 15¢/gal on top of the member price. 16 Costco gas typically runs 15–30¢ below local averages. 17 GasBuddy's Patrick De Haan: the national average could fall below $3.75/gal by July 4 "under an optimistic timeline, but hurricane season could be a major wildcard." 15
Tires and travel
BJ's wins tires again, and it's not close.
| Chain | Deal | Value |
|---|---|---|
| BJ's | Cooper Endeavor / Kelly tires — buy 3, get 1 free 5 | ~25% off the set |
| BJ's | Michelin + installation 5 | $160 off |
| BJ's | Goodyear + installation 5 | $160 off |
| Costco | 4 tires 1 | $80 off |
| Sam's | No verified tire promotion this cycle | — |
If you're due for Michelin or Goodyear tires, BJ's $160 off + installation is the week's standout large-purchase deal. For the right brands (Cooper Endeavor, Kelly), BJ's B3G1 gets you a 25% discount on the set before the installation credit.
On travel, Costco Travel dominates: five limited-time hot-buy packages with booking deadlines this week. The London/Amsterdam IHG Summer Promotion (extras valued at £260+) and Montreal Fairmont Queen Elizabeth (stay 4/pay 3, complimentary upgrade) both expire Wednesday, June 18. 18 Greater LA Terranea Resort (stay 3/pay 2, $50 daily resort credit) expires June 20, and Maui Andaz Wailea ($1,285 in extras, daily breakfast) runs through June 30. 18
Cherry-picker's route: June 16–22
First stop: Costco — the new book has the deepest concentration of single high-value deals. Prioritize:
- Dyson V15 → $220 off (households of any size: this is a stockpile-nothing buy)
- Liquid I.V. 12–16 pack → $20.99 (summer essential)
- Bounty 12-roll → $5.60 off (wait for this deal; it's the reason Bounty buyers shop Costco)
- Tide Pods → $5.00 off
- TCL 65" or Samsung 55" → $529.99 / $399.99 (if you're in the market)
- Ninja Crispi Air Fryer → $124.99 ($35 off; both in-warehouse and online)
Second stop: Sam's Club — heat-and-eat plus laundry numbers win on $/unit:
- Tide Liquid 128 oz → $15.48 ($0.15/load)
- Finish Quantum 90-count → $16.98 ($0.19/load)
- Spindrift 24-pack → $12.98 ($3 off) (1–2 person household: this is a fine quantity)
- Scott 1000 TP 45-roll → $25.48 ($5 off) (storage required; skip if closet-constrained)
Third stop (or app): BJ's — tires if you need them, Optical BOGO if glasses are overdue, and stack any Berkley Jensen or Wellsley Farms digital coupons with manufacturer coupons before checkout.
Membership math — and the $8 Sam's Club floor
All three chains have simultaneously discounted memberships through early July 2026:
| Membership | Regular fee | Upgrade fee | Break-even (upgrade) | Current promo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sam's Club | $60/yr (Club) | $120/yr (Plus, raised May 1) 19 | ~$3,000/yr spend | $15 Club / $50 Plus online through July 5 20 |
| Sam's Club | — | — | — | $8 in-store Club, June 17–26 only 6 |
| BJ's | $60/yr | $120/yr (Club+) | ~$3,000/yr spend | $14–$15/yr via StackSocial/Groupon through July 5–6 3 |
| Costco | $65/yr (Gold Star) | $130/yr (Executive) | ~$3,250/yr spend | New member digital card available 19 |
The $8 in-store Sam's Club deal (June 17–26, physical locations only) is the lowest price since 2022 and the sharpest membership entry point in years. Hip2Save called the online $15 deal "better than Black Friday." 20 The $8 in-store price is a different, even lower offer — it requires walking into a Sam's Club warehouse between now and June 26.
BJ's Club+ at $120/yr earns 2% rewards on most purchases and adds 5¢/gal off gas. The Executive upgrade at Costco ($130/yr) earns 2% on warehouse purchases, capped at $1,250/yr. At both chains, the upgrade pays for itself if you spend roughly $3,000+/yr in-store. The BJ's $14–$15 base membership via StackSocial (link through MarketWatch) is a near-free trial for anyone on the East Coast who's curious but hasn't committed. 3
Consumer Reports (via a June 2026 analysis) benchmarked Costco prices at 21.4% below Walmart averages; BJ's came in at 21.0% below. 19 Both chains deliver meaningful long-run grocery savings relative to conventional retail — the membership fee is not the cost, it's the admission price to those savings.
Next week: what expires, what resets
Costco Coupon book runs through July 19 — no mid-week cliff this week. 1
Costco Travel: Two hot-buy packages expire this Wednesday, June 18 — London/Amsterdam IHG and Montreal Fairmont Queen Elizabeth. 18 Book tonight or tomorrow if either applies.
Sam's Club: ISB runs through July 5. The $15 online membership and $50 Plus promo also close July 5. 20 The $8 in-store deal closes June 26. Online membership promos expire first.
BJ's: StackSocial membership deal runs through approximately July 5–6. 3 Optical BOGO continues past this week. No physical book to expire — digital coupons rotate on BJ's own schedule.
Verdict for this week: Costco takes electronics, household staples, and travel. Sam's takes food unit prices and has the membership urgency play. BJ's takes tires and anyone who wants to stack coupons. "Costco always wins" is still wrong.
