Open Analytics makes cookieless analytics about the identifier boundary, not about an empty dashboard.
The product's official site describes one lightweight async script that collects pageviews, referrers, devices and custom events. The site says the script is around 2 KB compressed, needs no SDK or build step, and records the first pageview before its configuration round-trip finishes. 1
The identity rule is the mechanism. Open Analytics uses a daily-rotating anonymous hash, follows a visitor through a session, and keeps a profile from crossing days or sites. The site also says it honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track by dropping those visits in the browser and again at the server. 1
A second stream connects traffic to outcomes. The site says a restricted, read-only Stripe key places payments beside the visit that produced them, so a dashboard can relate pages, campaigns and posts to revenue. Cookieless tracking still collects useful events; the product shortens the trail instead of removing the measurement.
The company's own page also describes the product as live on Product Hunt. 1
