This week's SaaS lifetime deals: one solid buy, a graveyard of skips
Mid-grade week across five deal platforms. Blip AI ($59, AppSumo) earns a buy now with 78% verified savings. Katteb gets a conditional buy pending page verification. Presenti AI is a wait. Every StackSocial candidate fails vendor health. Ecosystem alerts: ByDesign.io security flaw, Sendapp removed from AppSumo, bait-and-switch patterns in Replient, Zernio, and Straico.
LTD weather: Mid. Seven candidates across five platforms, one clean pass. The AppSumo picks range from genuinely interesting to unverifiable. Every single StackSocial deal this week failed vendor health checks — dead social presence, missing pricing, or active scam reports. Default posture holds: most lifetime deals are not worth buying. One isn't.

Buy now
Blip AI — $59 (AppSumo, Tier 1)
What it does: AI dictation tool that turns speech into formatted text inside any application via a global hotkey, on Mac, Windows, and Android. 1
The math: Tier 1 at $59 covers 1,400,000 words/month and 2 devices (limit was recently increased from 1). Blip AI's standard monthly subscription runs $7.50/month 1, putting the 3-year subscription cost at $270. The LTD saves you $211 over three years — 78%. That's real money for a tool you'd actually use daily.
Vendor health: Blip AI launched in October 2025 and is bootstrapped and based in Haryana, India, with 1–10 employees. Small, yes — but they are still shipping. The team pushed a deal improvement during the AppSumo campaign, increasing device limits across all tiers with a note from the founder: "We've got a deal improvement to share — we've increased the device limits across all license tiers!" 1 Last documented product update: March 25, 2026 — within the 60-day active-development window this channel requires.
Stack fit: If you're paying for a transcription or dictation layer — Whisper-based tools, Otter.ai at ~$17/month, or anything in the "AI voice-to-text" category — Blip AI is a direct replacement candidate at a fraction of the ongoing cost.
Refund window: AppSumo's standard 60-day money-back guarantee covers this purchase. 2 Plus members get a 1-year "We've Got Your Back" warranty and 100% credit refund; non-Plus members get 50% credit within 60 days.
Verdict: Buy now. The math works, the vendor is still shipping, and the 60-day window gives you enough time to evaluate it properly. The only real risk here is vendor size — one-person-band tools can go dark. Price the risk accordingly: at $59 you're betting about 8 months of subscription cost.
Conditional buy
Katteb — $39 (AppSumo, single plan)
What it does: AI writing tool focused on SEO-optimized, fact-checked articles with auto-publish to WordPress. Single plan covers 15,000 words/month; stacking up to 8+ codes available for higher volume. 3
The math: At $39 for the single plan and a starting subscription price of $29/month 4, 3-year sub cost is $1,044, making the savings roughly $1,005 (96%). That's an exceptional ratio.
Vendor health: Katteb was founded in 2021 by Ahmed Ezat, and the company has reportedly generated over $350,000 in revenue through AppSumo over three years — a meaningful sign of a vendor with a real track record and mature LTD strategy. 4 Reviewers note the founder "consistently ships major updates based on user feedback." 4
The gap: The AppSumo product page for Katteb timed out during research — tier details and current ratings are unconfirmed from a primary source. All pricing and track record data above comes from third-party reviews and search snippets.
Verdict: Conditional buy. Before purchasing, open the AppSumo listing directly and confirm: (1) the Tier 1 price is $38–39 as reported, (2) the 15,000 words/month allocation matches your use case, and (3) refund terms are the standard 60 days. If those check out, Katteb's vendor longevity and development cadence make this one of the stronger LTD bets in the AI writing category.
Wait
Presenti AI — $59–$69 (AppSumo, Tier 1)
What it does: AI presentation creator that converts text documents and ideas into slides. 5 Four license tiers, all features reportedly included at every tier.
The math: Using the Pro subscription at $20/month, 3-year cost is $720. The LTD at $59–69 saves roughly $651 (90%). The savings math is strong, but there is a pricing discrepancy in the sources: the
/new/ listing showed $69 while third-party reviewers cite $59. Treat $69 as the floor until you confirm the deal page directly.Vendor health: unverified. The AppSumo product page for Presenti AI returned no content during research — worthless page render, not a fetch failure. Without a verified product page, tier details and AppSumo ratings cannot be confirmed from a primary source. Vendor social activity (Twitter, LinkedIn) was not checked due to budget constraints.
Verdict: Wait. The category (AI presentation builder) is useful, the math is attractive, and early reviews mention solid real-time creation. But without a confirmed product page and verified vendor activity within the past 60 days, this one doesn't clear the bar yet. Check back after confirming the deal listing directly.
Skip everything else
HoneyBill — $49 (AppSumo)
AI invoicing tool targeting freelancers, with branded templates and recurring billing. 6 The vendor's own website, subscription pricing, and development activity could not be verified — the vendor domain is not publicly linked from the deal listing or any retrievable source. Without subscription pricing, there is no savings calculation to show. Without vendor verification, there is no health signal to report. One sentence is all this deal deserves: check the AppSumo listing for vendor details before considering.
StackSocial candidates — all skipped
All three StackSocial deals this week failed the minimum bar. Details:
ChatPlayGround AI ($29.97–$74.97) aggregates 20+ large language models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, and others) in a single interface. The math looks interesting at face value against a $19.50/month subscription. 7 It fails on two counts: first, StackSocial's return policy is 30 days — below this channel's 60-day minimum. 8 Second, and more importantly, a Reddit user in r/AI_Agents reported: "I deeply regret registering on this website. Since signing up, my inbox has been flooded with spam emails every day. The unsubscribe link in these emails does not work, and I am unable to delete my account." 9 The vendor's Twitter account shows minimal activity. Hard skip.
PowerPresent AI ($39.99–$79.99) converts prompts and documents into slide decks. 10 The last confirmed blog post was March 5, 2026 — outside the 60-day active-development window by the time this publishes. 10 Last known Instagram post: January 15, 2026. StackSocial's 30-day return window is also below the threshold. Skip.
MeetScribe Pro ($59.97–$67) is an AI meeting assistant (real-time transcription for Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, Slack) by YaseenAI, Inc. 11 The vendor's subscription pricing page (meetscribe.co/pricing) timed out during research — no 3-year cost calculation is possible. Vendor blog, changelog, and social media presence could not be verified. With no pricing data, no vendor health signal, and a 30-day StackSocial return window, this one cannot be recommended.
Ecosystem watch: what the community flagged this week
Beyond the deal picks, several r/AppSumo threads this week surface patterns worth knowing before any LTD purchase.
ByDesign.io (active AppSumo listing): critical security flaw. Independent tester u/soulitbit confirmed that deleting or unsharing files in ByDesign.io (a Notion-style productivity app on AppSumo) only hides them from the UI. The files remain live on public Firebase storage and are accessible to anyone with the link. 12 Test links remained accessible for over three weeks after deletion. The vendor claims "a fix is in the system," but tests showed otherwise at time of reporting. Do not upload sensitive documents to ByDesign.io until a server-side fix is publicly confirmed.
Sendapp: causing account bans while featured in AppSumo ads. Community members flagged that Sendapp was actively being promoted in AppSumo ads despite reviews reporting that users' accounts were being banned for using the service. AppSumo's AI-generated review summary on the deal page was, in the words of one community member, "positively glowing despite 1/8 comments being positive." 13 AppSumo staff subsequently confirmed: "We've since removed this from the marketplace." 13 That it was promoted in ads at all is a vetting failure.
The bait-and-switch pattern is recurring. Three separate vendors in current community discussions show variants of the same move — selling a lifetime deal that appears complete, then locking core features behind additional paywalls after purchase:
- Replient (social media reply automation): buyers report that Custom Instructions and Automations — features that make the product functional — are paywalled beyond the LTD tier. One buyer lost $177 after failing to test within the refund window. AppSumo's ModBot denied the warning review on the grounds that it complained about "features not in the deal" — which, as community member u/drattray put it, "also misses the point. Those features being missing is the review." 14
- Zernio: an existing AppSumo LTD buyer on Tier 4 (10 accounts) reported facing $450/month in extra fees to access features that new customers now get at $6/month under the vendor's revised pricing structure. 15 AppSumo staff confirmed they were "in touch with the founder to learn more about what's changed" — no resolution at time of writing.
- Straico (LLM gateway): community discussion on the product's Discord is described as "bleak" with "no one having faith in them anymore." No streaming or tool-calling support on an LLM gateway. Several community members estimate 4–6 months until shutdown. 16
Platform context. AppSumo CEO Noah Kagan publicly acknowledged the platform's revenue has declined 50% over two years, from a prior peak of $55M+ in partner revenue. 17 The one-time payment model structurally attracts cash-strapped vendors who cannot sustain ongoing support — a dynamic the community has documented systematically at saasyrank.com. 17 This doesn't make every AppSumo deal bad, but it does mean due diligence is non-negotiable.
Platform refund policies at a glance
| Platform | Refund window | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| AppSumo | 60 days | Plus members: 100% credit refund + 1-yr warranty. Non-Plus: 50% credit refund. 2 |
| PitchGround | 60 days | Refund to original payment or site credit. 18 |
| DealMirror | 60 days (Prime) / 30 days (standard) | Full 60-day window requires Prime membership. 19 |
| StackSocial | 30 days | Below this channel's 60-day minimum — factor into buy decisions on any StackSocial deal. 8 |
