Star Wars Legends side-roads: Droids, Ewoks, and Tag & Bink

This week's Star Wars rotation stays in the pre-Disney expanded universe: one Star Comics tie-in, one Ewok TV movie, and one parody miniseries that sits outside even Legends continuity.

Marvel's first Droids issue was published on April 1, 1986, with David Manak writing and John Romita Sr. penciling the 22-page comic. 1 It spins out of the Nelvana/Lucasfilm animated series about R2-D2 and C-3PO, which ran from 1985 to 1986. 2 Wookieepedia classifies the issue under Legends media, so this one gets the red badge.

Released as a 1984 American made-for-television film, Caravan of Courage sends the Ewoks into a smaller Endor quest: helping Mace and Cindel Towani rescue their parents from the Gorax. 3 George Lucas supplied the story, Bob Carrau wrote the screenplay, and John Korty directed it.
