Pampa Energía and GameStop Lead Five Companies, $83.30M of Insider Buys

Five companies cleared the October 12–16 screen with $83,299,988 of officer and director purchases above $1 million, led by a $35.14 million Pampa Energía ADS buy and Ryan Cohen's fifth GameStop purchase since September, after an asset swap between family trusts and a SPAC subscription at the offer price were set aside.

Five US-listed companies cleared the $1 million insider-purchase screen for the trading week of October 12–16, 2026. Six officers and directors put $83,299,988 of their own money into their companies' shares. 1
The window runs on trade dates, Monday October 12 through Friday October 16, Eastern time. It covers every open-market purchase Form 4 posted to EDGAR from October 10 up to the cutoff.
That cutoff is 9:00 a.m. Eastern on Monday, October 19. The last purchase filing this edition read arrived at 8:36 that morning. Anything posted later falls to the next edition.
Every one of the five stocks closed Friday below Monday's close. The buying went ahead anyway. Applied Digital's two officers filed their purchases on the day the shares closed at a 52-week low.

The threshold is more than $1 million in one transaction, or more than $1 million combined per insider across the week. Option exercises, gifts, Rule 10b5-1 automatic purchases and shares bought at an offering price stay out.

1. Pampa Energía Inc. (PAM)

Marcos Marcelo Mindlin bought 435,000 American Depositary Shares at $80.78 on October 15. The total was $35,139,300, the largest purchase of the week. 2
The filing reports the ADS as directly owned and puts his holding at 7,191,339 ADS after the purchase.
The two share lines reconcile at 25 common shares to one ADS. Mindlin's earlier buying this year was in common shares at $3.34 to $3.44, and $80.78 divided by 25 is $3.23. 7
He had been accumulating all summer. Nine purchases from May 27 to August 31 took 4,310,619 common shares for $14,514,637. 8
Those nine purchases give the first measurable record, and it reads slightly negative. Each is old enough for a one-month check, and six of the nine were lower a month after he bought. The median move was 2.5% down, and the widest swing was 11.0% down after the August 31 purchase.
At Friday's $81.10 close, all nine sit between 2.8% and 5.7% below his cost. A six-month check waits until the May purchase is old enough.
Mindlin is Pampa's chairman and founder, and the company is Argentina's largest electricity generator. 9 The ADS closed Friday 12.1% below its 52-week closing high of $92.27, set on December 3, 2025. 10

2. GameStop Corp. (GME)

Ryan Cohen bought 844,130 shares on October 13 in two trades: 67,130 at $26.75 and 777,000 at $27.00. The total came to $22,774,728. 3
An amended ownership filing that day describes both trades as effected in the open market. It puts his direct holding at 46,227,436 shares, 9.1% of the 504,500,990 shares outstanding, and states that the 42,492,652 shares he owns directly cost about $225,408,469. 11
His EDGAR record holds 28 purchase lines going back to December 2020. Nineteen are old enough for a one-month check, and 18 of those were higher a month later, by a median 31.1%.
The longer horizons read worse. Of the 18 old enough for six months, six were higher, with a median 3.0% lower. Of the 19 old enough for twelve months, six were higher and the median was 4.0% lower. 12
This is his fifth purchase date since September 10. Those five took 4,144,810 shares for about $97.2 million.
GameStop closed at a 52-week high of $28.02 on October 15, two days after the purchase, then gave it back and finished Friday at $26.81.

3. Borr Drilling Ltd (BORR)

Tor Olav Troim bought on three more sessions. He took 1,500,000 shares at $4.9344 on October 13, 750,000 at $4.7234 on October 14, and 500,000 at $4.5983 on October 15. 1314
That is 2,750,000 shares for $13,243,300, at a weighted average of $4.8157.
A fourth tranche belongs with these. Troim bought 2,500,000 shares at $4.7374 on October 9 and filed it on October 13. Last week's edition closed before that filing landed, so it has gone unreported until now. 15
Including it, four consecutive sessions took 5,250,000 shares for $25,086,800.
Drew Holdings Ltd. holds the shares, and Drew Trust, of which Troim is the beneficiary, owns Drew Holdings. His reported holding reached 40,117,808 shares, 13.1% of the 307,391,018 outstanding. 16
That ownership filing exists because he had added more than 2% of the company in the preceding twelve months. 17
Troim's EDGAR record begins with a March 24, 2026 trade, and 15 purchase lines follow it. Seven are old enough for a one-month check: four were higher, and the median move was 5.6% up. Two have reached six months, and both were about 18% lower. Across all 15 he has committed $67,484,445. 18
Borr fell every session this week, from $4.93 on Monday to $4.54 on Friday. All three of this week's tranches sit below their cost, the October 13 one by 8.0%.
The company filed one thing in the window: a 6-K on October 16 carrying an investor presentation. 19

4. Applied Digital Corp. (APLD)

Jason Gechen Zhang, Applied Digital's president, bought 300,000 shares on October 16 at a weighted average of $18.86, for $5,658,000. Individual fills ran from $18.40 to $19.16. 5
Wes Cummins, the chief executive and chairman, bought 55,803 shares the same day at $18.04, for $1,006,686. 20
Both filings reached EDGAR on Monday morning, at 7:06 and 7:11 Eastern.
Friday is the day the shares closed at $18.05, their lowest close of the past year and 22.4% under Monday's $23.25. The stock sits 63.6% below its 52-week closing high of $49.65, set on May 28. 21
The fall belongs to a sector move. On October 15 Reuters reported that a market selloff was pushing AI-infrastructure companies to delay fundraising or pay more for capital, as investors demanded proof they could absorb rising rates and computing costs. 22
Applied Digital's own results show what that test measures. For the quarter ended August 31 it reported revenue of $341.9 million, up 322%, and a net loss attributable to common stockholders of $221.0 million. Leases across five campuses covering about 1.41 gigawatts carry roughly $36 billion of contracted base-term revenue; debt stood at $6.4 billion and cash at $3.7 billion. 23
Cummins has bought this stock 49 times since May 2022, and the record shows how early he was. Of the 48 purchases old enough for a one-month check, 14 were higher a month later and the median was 17.0% lower. At six months, 38 of 48 were higher, median 57.9% up. At twelve months, 44 of 48 were higher, median 110.1% up.
He bought through the 2022 slide at $1.95 to $4.81 a share. Every one of those purchases is now at least 3.7 times its cost. 21
Zhang's record begins here. This is the only purchase of Applied Digital shares in his filings as a reporting owner, and at Friday's $18.05 close his $18.86 average is already 4.3% under water.

5. Bluerock Private Real Estate Fund (BPRE)

Ramin Kamfar's October 14 filing covers three sessions: 158,984 shares at $12.9589 on October 12, 110,964 at $12.8506 on October 13, and 157,661 at $12.6332 on October 14. 6
That is 427,609 shares for $5,477,975, at a weighted average of $12.8107, bought through Bluerock Asset Management LLC, an entity Kamfar controls.
The run is older than this week. He has bought on all 18 trading days since September 21, taking 2,254,196 shares for $28,640,490 at an average of $12.705.
Friday's $12.34 close leaves that whole run 2.9% under water.
BPRE is a New York Stock Exchange-listed closed-end fund holding private real estate, listed in December 2025. Net assets were about $3.2 billion at September 30, across 25 private equity and 16 private debt positions. 24
Its October distribution is $0.1371 a share, payable October 30 to holders of record October 21, and the fund describes that rate as 7.3% of net asset value. Annualizing the payment gives $1.6452 a share, which implies a NAV near $22.5 against Friday's $12.34 close, a discount of about 45%.
The track record here is short. One earlier Kamfar purchase is old enough to measure: 1,667 shares at $15.00 on June 4, which was 14.3% lower a month later. The run since September 21 is under four weeks old. 25

Filed too late for last week

Some purchases dated October 7 to 9 reached EDGAR after the previous edition's cutoff. Two of them involve officers or directors.
Eight Heico directors and officers bought on October 8: seven took 795 shares at $220.30 and one, Julie Neitzel, took 592 at $294.93. The eight filings came within eight minutes of each other and together came to $1,400,595. Each one stayed under the $1 million line. 26
Alan Gold, Innovative Industrial Properties' executive chairman, bought 40,000 shares at $25.00 on October 8 for exactly $1,000,000. That sits on the threshold rather than above it. 27
Three 10% holders bought in that same gap: GoldenTree at QVC Group with $16,697,200 on October 9, Simon G. Kukes at Pedevco with $1,911,910 on October 8, and Kent C. McCarthy at New Era Energy & Digital with $1,192,350 on October 9. 282930

Clusters and near misses

Applied Digital was the week's only cluster. The largest officer or director buy under the line came at Sprinklr, where director Stephen M. Ward Jr. bought 150,000 shares at $5.67 on October 13 for $850,500. 31
Mark Lappe, chief executive of Inhibrx Biosciences, bought 10,040 shares at $84.56 on October 14 for $848,977. 32 Paul P. Rusnak, a 10% holder of Sonic Automotive, bought 12,555 shares at $59.90 on October 14 for $752,045. 33

Set aside this week

Rows above $1 million that stayed out of the table, and the reason for each.
PepsiCo director Robert C. Pohlad reported 184,646 shares at $128.28 on October 14, $23,686,389 across four lines. The footnote says the shares came from four irrevocable trusts through his power to substitute assets of equivalent value, and that a revocable trust of his moved cash of the same fair market value to those trusts. The shares changed hands between family trusts at a value fixed by that day's high and low prices. 34
Frazier Life Sciences Acquisition Corp. II completed a 7,500,000-share initial public offering on October 15 at $10.00 a share. 35 Its chief executive, Albert Cha, reported 300,000 Class A shares at $10.00 that day, $3,000,000, held by the sponsor Frazier Life Sciences Holdings II LLC. 36
Borr Drilling's chief operating officer, Harvey Edward Snowling, reported 300,000 shares at $4.91 on October 14 for $1,473,000. The filing says the purchase was made in connection with a cashless exercise of vested stock options, and it reports a same-day sale of 300,000 shares whose proceeds paid the exercise price and withholding taxes. 37
XCF Global's 10% holder Eeme Energy SPV I LLC reported 119,397,858 shares at $1.19 on October 16, $142,083,451, the week's largest row. 38
Nippon Life Insurance, a 10% holder of Corebridge Financial, bought $8,801,941 on October 13 and $20,487,096 on October 14. The filings state that those purchases were made under a Rule 10b5-1 plan adopted August 7, 2026. 3940
Four more rows above $1 million came from 10% holders. Alexandria Venture Investments bought $2,499,994 of Trex Bio shares on October 13. 41 SVLSF VI LLC bought $1,299,998 at the same company on October 8. 42 Tether Global Investments Fund bought $2,702,484 of Gold.com shares on October 13 43 and $1,280,535 on October 7. 44
Dollar figures are gross purchase values reported on each Form 4. Marks compare the buyer's reported price with the October 16, 2026 close, and they are not an account of any realized return.
Four of the five buyers sit below their average cost a week later. Mindlin's $35.1 million is the only position in the table above Friday's close.
