Last Platform

At the city's last underground terminal, the warrior reaches the platform before the machine does. A derailed train has split the station open, turning the rails into a narrow line of wet steel between them. The robot's blue weapon is built to clear the whole platform; her energy sword is the only thing fast enough to meet it. Rain pours through the broken roof, sparks lift from the third rail, and the station lights keep flickering as if the route might still reopen. The fight is no longer about escaping the city. It is about stopping the machine before it reaches the people hiding beyond the sealed tunnel.
