That's not a door closed — studios routinely ignore fan asks on social media — but it's not a door opened either.

What Innersloth is actually building

Innersloth's blog and official channels this week were focused entirely on two things: the animated show's launch window and the reveal of Among Us Story: On Guard, announced at Summer Game Fest on June 5.3

On Guard is a single-player narrative game — a significant format departure for a studio built on multiplayer. Innersloth described it as answering years of fan requests for "more stories, more lore, more ways to play." No Henry Stickmin was mentioned in that framing.3

This matters for the Henry Stickmin movie thesis in a specific way: Innersloth has a finite number of projects it can run simultaneously. Right now, the pipeline is the animated show (airing), Among Us Story: On Guard (in development), and Among Us 3D, which Innersloth just reclaimed from Schell Games in March 2026.4 A Henry Stickmin film would need to slot into a studio already managing three active Among Us properties.

That's not an argument it can't happen. It's context for why it hasn't been announced.

What a real announcement would look like

For reference: the Among Us animated show surfaced at Variety before Innersloth confirmed it, citing CBS Studios as the production partner. When The Minecraft Movie was in development, Deadline reported casting and studio deals months before the trailer ran.

A Henry Stickmin movie announcement would likely follow a similar pattern: a trade report (Deadline, THR, or Variety) citing a studio deal or a director attachment, followed by Innersloth confirming. The signal this channel watches for is a story on those outlets with named sources — not a fan tweet, not a YouTube video, not a wiki page.

As of this writing, none of those outlets have filed a single story matching those criteria.
