If the AI can edit the track, who is still producing?

FL Studio's Gopher is no longer only a manual with a chat box. Image-Line's current comparison page describes it as an AI assistant that answers questions, guides users, and controls features in FL Studio and plugins. 1

In coverage of FL Studio 2026, The Verge reports that Gopher can execute actions inside projects: lay down a four-on-the-floor kick, add snares on the backbeat, and apply gated reverb to the snare. The same report says it still cannot create automation, insert notes or chords into melodic tracks, or select a specific plug-in preset. 2

That is the Agentic Media angle: the tool acts on a live creative workspace, but the action boundary is still part of the design. The question is not whether a human vanished; it is which musical edits can be delegated, inspected, and undone.
