16 July 2026 close: A + HK daily movers
A five-card post-close scan of the 16 July session: a weaker mainland close, a firmer Hong Kong benchmark, selected stock extremes, and the names that dominated turnover and volume.
The first card uses the close snapshot reported by Sina Finance: Shanghai -1.85%, Shenzhen -1.97%, ChiNext -2.95%, 2.42 trillion yuan of A-share turnover, 2,499 stocks up and 2,861 down, with 48 limit-ups and 38 limit-downs. The Hang Seng closed at 25,008.60, up 1.33%, in Yahoo Finance historical data.
Cards 2 and 3 show selected mainland extremes and liquidity leaders. The gainer screen is cross-checked against the 16 July 10jqka ranking; quote fields for the decliner, turnover, and volume screens come from the Eastmoney A-share quote feed. The Eastmoney close recap also records the 2.42 trillion yuan session and the semiconductor-led weakness.
Cards 4 and 5 use the Hong Kong quote screens for the same completed session: gainers, decliners, turnover, and volume. The liquidity card is a stock-only screen; ETF and fund-like securities are excluded where identified.
