Borr Drilling and Bluerock Lead Two Companies, $27.64M of Insider Buys

Two companies cleared the $1M insider screen for the October 5–9 trading week: a $17.95M three-day purchase by a Borr Drilling director and $9.69M by a Bluerock fund director, with the week's largest rows set aside as financing or 10% holder trades.

Two US-listed companies cleared the $1 million insider-purchase screen for the trading week of October 5–9, 2026. A director at Borr Drilling and a director at Bluerock Private Real Estate Fund put $27,644,385 of their own money into the shares between them. 1
The window runs on trade dates, Monday October 5 through Friday October 9, Eastern time. It covers every open-market purchase Form 4 posted to EDGAR from October 3 up to the cutoff.
That cutoff is 9:18 p.m. Eastern on Friday, the timestamp of the last filing this edition read. Later filings fall to the next edition.
One row dwarfed everything else this week and is not counted here. A Gogoro director reported $35,114,298 of purchases made under share purchase agreements with the issuer itself. 2

Two names, one field set

Both retained buyers are directors buying repeatedly through the same week. Everything below is stated on the same terms so the two can be read side by side.

Borr Drilling Ltd (BORR)Tor Olav Troim, directorOct 5, 6, 74,250,000$4.1314–$4.3122$17,951,550$4.78 3

The threshold is more than $1 million per transaction, or more than $1 million combined per insider across the week. Option exercises, gifts, and Rule 10b5-1 automatic purchases are excluded, as are shares bought at a marketed offering price.

1. Borr Drilling Ltd (BORR)

Tor Olav Troim bought on three consecutive sessions. He took 1,500,000 shares on October 5 at $4.1314, another 1,500,000 on October 6 at $4.2428, and 1,250,000 on October 7 at $4.3122. 56
That is 4,250,000 shares for $17,951,550, at a weighted average of $4.2239. Each price sits inside its session's range: $3.92 to $4.19 on October 5, $4.115 to $4.32 on October 6, $4.24 to $4.375 on October 7.
Drew Holdings Ltd. holds the shares, and that company is wholly owned by the Drew Trust, a non-discretionary trust in which Troim is the beneficiary. His reported holding rose from 30,535,941 shares to 34,785,941 over the three days.
Borr closed at $4.78 on Friday, which puts the week's purchases 13.2% above their average cost. The October 5 tranche alone is up 15.7%. 7
The track record is short and mixed. EDGAR shows no Borr purchase by Troim before a March 24, 2026 trade, and eight since. Six of the eight are old enough for a one-month check: +7.2%, +18.4%, −7.0%, +2.4%, −6.1%, −2.6%. The median is −0.1%.
Only one purchase is old enough for a six-month check. The March 24 buy at $5.1958 stood 14.7% lower six months later. Across the eleven purchase dates since March, Troim has committed $42,397,645.
Two company announcements sit just before the window. On September 30 Borr reported new commitments for three jack-up rigs: a binding award for the Norve in West Africa covering three wells over an estimated 245 days, an exercised option on the Natt in Nigeria, and a UK accommodation contract for the Joro starting mid-October. 8 On September 15 Borr agreed to sell its 51% stake in the Mexican Perfomex joint ventures to its local partner while keeping the three rigs and their PEMEX contracts through bareboat charters. 9
Borr shares went from $3.91 on October 2 to $4.78 on October 9. No further Borr announcement reached EDGAR during the buying window itself.

2. Bluerock Private Real Estate Fund (BPRE)

Ramin Kamfar bought on all five trading days. The filings show 93,744 shares on October 5 at $12.7081, 142,420 on October 6 at $13.0231, 186,612 on October 7 at $12.9904, 150,937 on October 8 at $13.0481, and 171,094 on October 9 at $13.1692. 10
That is 744,807 shares for $9,692,835, at a weighted average of $13.0139. The buying went through Bluerock Asset Management, LLC, an entity Kamfar controls. Friday's $13.08 close leaves the week's purchases 0.5% above their average cost.
This is the tail of an accumulation rather than a one-off. Kamfar has bought on 15 separate dates since September 21, taking 1,826,587 shares for $23,162,517 at an average of $12.68. 11
The vehicle matters here. BPRE is a New York Stock Exchange-listed closed-end fund holding private real estate, and it listed in December 2025. 12
The fund's own figures give the scale. Net assets were about $3.2 billion at September 30, spread across 25 private equity and 16 private debt real estate positions. The October distribution is $0.1371 a share, payable October 30 to holders of record October 21.
That distribution is also the clearest read on value. The fund describes the October rate as 7.3% of net asset value. Annualizing $0.1371 gives $1.6452 a share, which implies a NAV near $22.5. The fund priced the same notice off a $12.80 close on October 7.
On track record there is almost nothing to measure. The only Kamfar purchase old enough for a one-month check is a small June 4 buy of 1,667 shares at $15.00, which was 14.3% lower a month later. Nothing in the current run is four weeks old yet.

Clusters and near misses

No second buyer joined either of the two retained names. The week's clearest cluster went the other way on size: three AgomAb Therapeutics insiders bought within four days, and none came close to the threshold. 1314
  • Director David R. Epstein, 10,000 shares at $8.64 on October 5 and 5,000 at $8.90 on October 8, $130,850. 15
  • CEO Tim Jasper Knotnerus, 11,000 shares at $8.58 on October 5, $94,380.
  • CFO Pierre Thadee Victor Kemula, 10,000 shares at $8.59 on October 6, $85,940.
The largest director purchase under the line was at Fuller H.B.: R. Jeffrey Bailly bought 10,000 shares at $50.00 on October 7 for $500,000. 16
Four other officer and director buys cleared $200,000 and stopped there. They were 10% holder Paul P. Rusnak at Sonic Automotive ($819,046 on October 7), president and CEO Eric Singer at Immersion ($292,800 on October 7), board chairman William A. Newlands at Hormel Foods ($201,000 on October 5), and director David C. Flattum at two PIMCO funds ($249,508 and $249,245 on October 6).
Uxin CEO Kun Dai bought on four straight days for $39,722 in total. More than two dozen Taiwan Semiconductor officers filed purchases at $79.39 on October 7, the largest being chairman and CEO C.C. Wei at $11,432; the whole group totals about $121,000.

Set aside this week

Five rows above $1 million were excluded, each for its own reason.
Neighborhood Intelligence's executive chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis reported 362,319 shares at $2.76 for $1,000,000 on October 6. 17 He bought those shares from the company as part of a $45.5 million registered direct offering that closed that day. 18 The stock traded between $1.74 and $2.05 that session, well below the offering price.
The Gogoro row is the week's largest and the least market-like. Director Yin Chung-Yao reported 14,158,991 shares at $2.48, or $35,114,298, bought by two holding companies under share purchase agreements with Gogoro itself. Gogoro traded between $2.87 and $3.15 that day.
Nippon Life Insurance, a 10% holder of Corebridge Financial, bought $27,262,829 across October 5, 6 and 7. The filings state that those purchases were made under a Rule 10b5-1 plan adopted August 7, 2026. 19
L1 Capital Pty Ltd, a 10% holder of Anteris Technologies Global, bought $6,827,847 in the window across October 5 and 6. 20 William P. Scully, a 10% holder of Prothena, bought $1,821,054 across October 7 and 8. 21 Neither filer is an officer or a director.
Several large rows fall outside the window on trade date rather than on classification. Berkshire Hathaway's $192,634,433 of Lennar purchases were made October 1, before the window opened. Accelevation's CEO bought $3,657,600 on October 1 at the $18.00 initial-offering price, and a fund-sector chief investment officer bought $9,615,216 on October 2. Bank Bradesco directors filed large purchases dated August 25 through September 1, quoted in Brazilian reais rather than dollars.
Dollar figures are the gross purchase values reported on each Form 4. Marks compare the buyer's reported price with the October 9, 2026 close, and they are not an account of any realized return.
Both buyers kept buying as the shares rose, three sessions running at Borr Drilling and five at Bluerock. Each one's average cost now sits below Friday's close.
