Three claims close by Oct. 26 — and up to $280 from Equifax

Three claims shut between Oct. 19 and Oct. 26 — Globe Life, VSL#3 and TED Foundation — followed by a $6 million Teleflora texting settlement, a $6.5 million student-loan data-breach payment and Equifax's $100 million credit-score error settlement.

Class Action Settlement Claim Tracker
Class Action Settlement Claim Tracker@NeoDrop Official
Three of this week's claims shut between October 19 and October 26. The three claims filed since stay open into December.
Of the six, three pay a share of a fund that the administrators estimate at $95 to $280 apiece, and three pay a set amount: up to $72 from Globe Life for hours spent, $20 from VSL#3, and $5 from TED. A pro-rata share is the fund divided by the number of valid claims, so it thins as more people file. Every figure below comes from the settlement administrator's own page or the filed court notice, and every link in the last column opens that case's claim form.

Closing in the next two weeks

Globe Life and American Income Life — October 19 (7 days)

The lawsuit. In re American Income Life Ins. Co. and Globe Life Inc. Data Breach Litig., No. 6:25-cv-00262, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Waco Division. The suit says the insurers failed to protect customer information exposed in an October 2, 2024 data incident. Both companies deny wrongdoing. 1
Who qualifies. Anyone whom the companies, or Globe Life, wrote to say that their personal information may have been exposed in that incident. The exposed data included names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, and health and policy information. 1
What it is worth. The defendants put up to $3.4 million into a cash pool for claimants. A class member can seek up to $5,000 for documented losses and up to four hours of time spent at $18 an hour, which comes to $72. Two years of credit monitoring from Cyex Financial Shield Complete arrives on top of that, and needs no form. 1
Proof and access. The time-spent payment rests on your own account of the hours, so it asks for a name, an address and a signature rather than receipts. Filing online takes one Kroll form, the same one that came attached to the notice. 2
Deadline. October 19, 2026, for claims. Opt-outs and objections run to November 16. 1
Five-minute value check. This tracker first listed the claim on September 14, when five weeks remained on the clock. Search your mail and inbox for "American Income Life" or "Globe Life": the notice letter answers eligibility by itself.

VSL#3 probiotic — October 20 (8 days)

The lawsuit. Starr v. VSL Pharmaceuticals, Inc., No. 8:19-cv-02173-LKG, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Buyers say the company told them the VSL#3 formulation it sold had been proven in clinical tests, and that they overpaid as a result. VSL denies the claims. 3
Who qualifies. Anyone who bought VSL#3 between June 1, 2016 and June 19, 2019. A bottle or a box counts as one unit, and each bottle inside a multipack counts separately. 3
What it is worth. A $20 million fund pays $20 a unit. Claimants with proof of purchase can claim as many as 40 units, or $800, while everyone else is capped at one unit per household, or $20. 3
Proof and access. The $20 tier asks for nothing beyond the form. Purchase records that VSL already holds, and the credentials printed on a mailed notice, both count as proof for the larger claim. One online form does either. 34
Deadline. October 20, 2026, online or postmarked. Exclusions and objections close the same day, and the fairness hearing is January 6, 2027. 5
Five-minute value check. Search your email for an order confirmation from a supplement retailer. One receipt is the difference between a $20 claim and one worth $800.

TED Foundation — October 26 (14 days)

The lawsuit. Sutton v. TED Foundation Inc., No. 1:23-cv-09219-DEH, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The suit says TED handed viewers' identifying information to third-party service providers without the written consent the Video Privacy Protection Act requires. TED denies that it broke the law. 6
Who qualifies. Anyone in the United States who held a TED account and watched a pre-recorded video on TED.com or in TED's iOS or Android app between October 19, 2021 and July 14, 2026. 6
What it is worth. Two free months of TED membership, worth about $10, arrives automatically once a class member activates it. A class member who files a claim instead chooses between a $5 cash payment and donating that $5 to TED. The cash pool is capped at $350,000, so the $5 falls pro rata if many people pick it. 6
Proof and access. The filing page opens with the Claim ID and PIN from the notice TED sent. The administrator reissues both on request. 6
Deadline. October 26, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. The final approval hearing moved to November 13 after the court adjourned the original date. 6
Five-minute value check. An inbox search for "TED" finds the notice. Filing the claim trades the two free months away for $5, so decide which of the two you want before opening the form.

Open and newly filed

Teleflora texts — November 17 (36 days)

The lawsuit. Carter v. Teleflora LLC, No. 2026-012979-CA-01, Circuit Court for Miami-Dade County, Florida. The suit says Teleflora sent promotional texts to cell numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry, which the Telephone Consumer Protection Act forbids. Teleflora denies the claim. 7
Who qualifies. People across the United States who never gave Teleflora their number, received more than one promotional text from the company inside a 12-month period since May 9, 2021, and whose number had been on the Do Not Call Registry for at least 30 days before two of those texts arrived. The parties put the class at about 23,844 phone numbers. 7
What it is worth. $6 million, split pro rata after fees and administration costs. The court notice caps a single approved claim at $251. 7
Proof and access. Only numbers in the call records Teleflora produced can file, and the administrator mailed a postcard to them carrying the ID and confirmation code the online form opens with. Each person may file once per phone number. 89
Deadline. November 17, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific for online claims, and postmarked that day by mail. The fairness hearing is November 25. 8
Five-minute value check. Look for the postcard. Eligibility runs through records you cannot check any other way, so the postcard's arrival settles it.

ECSI student-loan data breach — December 21 (70 days)

The lawsuit. Hood, et al. v. Educational Computer Systems, Inc., No. 2:24-cv-00666-CCW, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. A criminal cyberattack on ECSI's website between October 29, 2023 and February 12, 2024 exposed personal information, according to the suit. ECSI denies wrongdoing. 10
Who qualifies. Anyone living in the United States whose personal information was potentially accessed in that attack. The administrator mailed its notice to people on that basis, so the notice itself is the eligibility test. 10
What it is worth. A $6.5 million fund. A claimant can seek up to $5,000 for documented, unreimbursed losses, or take an alternative cash payment the notice estimates at about $100, a figure that moves pro rata with the number of claims. The two options are alternatives. 10
Proof and access. The alternative payment asks for a name, an address and a phone number, with nothing to upload or mail in. The form goes in online or by post. 11
Deadline. December 21, 2026, online or postmarked. Exclusions and objections close November 20, and the fairness hearing is January 11, 2027. 12
Five-minute value check. If a college you attended ever sent you through ECSI for loan billing, this is one page with nothing attached.

Equifax credit-score error — December 28 (77 days)

The lawsuit. In re: Equifax Fair Credit Reporting Act Litigation, No. 1:22-cv-03072, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The suit says a three-week coding error made Equifax report credit scores and credit attributes to lenders that differed from what accurate calculations would have produced. Equifax denies liability. 13
Who qualifies. People in the United States whose score or credit attribute differed because of the coding issue between March 17 and April 8, 2022, and was reported to a third party in a transaction Equifax identified in its own analysis. The class runs to about four million people. 13
What it is worth. $100 million, and the fund is non-reversionary, so unclaimed money stays available to claimants. The settlement website estimates $95 to $280 for each valid claim, with the final figure set by how many people file. Claimants put up no proof of loss. 13
Proof and access. The claim portal opens with the claim ID and PIN printed on the notice. A paper form can be printed and mailed instead. 14
Deadline. December 28, 2026, online or postmarked. A final approval hearing is set for January 22, 2027. 15
Five-minute value check. Equifax notified the affected four million people by mail or email, so an inbox or mail search for "Equifax settlement" answers the question. This is a separate case from the Equifax inquiry-dispute settlement this tracker listed in an earlier issue. That claim closes November 29 and pays one of three amounts depending on the group Equifax's records assign you, and a notice for one case does not cover the other. 13

Three quick wins

  1. Treat this week as a two-claim week. Globe Life and VSL#3 both shut inside eight days, and their payments need a form rather than a search. TED's October 26 date and everything in the December lane can wait for the weekend after.
  2. Sweep for notice codes once. TED, Teleflora and Equifax each open their filing page with a code that arrived separately in the mail or by email: a Claim ID and PIN in two cases, an ID and confirmation code in the third. One pass across every inbox and the paper pile clears all three.
  3. Decide about TED before you file it. The two free months of membership and the $5 cash option are alternatives, so a claim form spends the membership. File only if $5 beats a membership you would use.

Not on this week's list

The Managed Care of North America data breach settlement shuts October 19, the same day as Globe Life, and holds out up to $2,500 a claimant. 16 It stays off the list because every cash payment needs receipts or correspondence proving a documented loss, and the class shares one $250,000 cap on that money. The automatic benefit is two years of medical data monitoring, which comes without a claim form. 17
