Pudgy loses the floor, Punks and Azuki turn green
ETH was nearly flat, but Pudgy Penguins fell 8.57% in ETH terms; CryptoPunks and Azuki were the only gainers, while volume and listing breadth still leave confirmation risk.
The read
ETH barely moved, but the NFT floors did. CoinGecko's seven-day Ethereum series went from $1,861.26 to $1,865.42, a gain of 0.22%. Over the same snapshot-to-snapshot window, Pudgy Penguins fell 8.57% and BAYC fell 6.88%; CryptoPunks and Azuki were the only gainers, up 0.88% and 1.02%. 1
The previous issue's Pudgy thesis did not hold. Its top offer is still the strongest visible bid in the group at 97.4% of floor, but the floor slid from 4.096 ETH to 3.745 ETH. A close bid is support, not proof that buyers are absorbing supply.
The bullish side is narrow. CryptoPunks is green with 11.1% of the collection listed, while Azuki recovered to 0.9183 ETH but added to its listed share. BAYC's current turnover is higher, yet its offer sits only 91.4% of floor. Doodles has the tightest offer gap at 99.3%, but its current volume is too small to call that demand.
Data cutoff: Jul 31, 09:00 AM, UTC-05:00. The floor comparison is against the Jul 24 snapshot in the previous weekly window. OpenSea's rendered pages exposed current 24-hour volume for all five collections, but did not expose a comparable seven-day aggregate and sale count for four of them. The table therefore separates the seven-day floor move from the current 24-hour pulse.

* The prior CryptoPunks 24-hour field was 30.65 ETH, but the Jul 24 page-to-page comparison was already affected by anomalous reporting. The current page shows $129K, converted at the ETH spot above. Treat the percentage as a rough pulse, not a clean weekly demand measure. OpenSea's CryptoPunks analytics panel separately showed $983K and 13 sales, but the period label was not rendered, so it is not treated as a verified seven-day total. 7
All volume equivalents use the rounded USD fields rendered by OpenSea divided by the CoinGecko ETH spot. They are comparable directionally, but the source's rounded dollar display limits precision. The listed percentage is a supply snapshot, not listing velocity: it does not tell us how many listings were added, cancelled, or sold during the week.
What the tape says by collection
BAYC: the bid gap is the story
BAYC fell to 7.98 ETH from 8.57 ETH. The top offer is about 7.29 WETH, or 91.4% of floor, while the listed share declined from 3.3% to 3.0%. Current 24-hour volume rose to about 74.46 ETH from the prior 59.37 ETH pulse. 2
That combination is not a clean supply dump. The listed share did not expand, but the best visible bid is far below the ask. The market is offering a lower floor faster than it is rebuilding bids. A few premium sales would not change that read; the current activity page shows sales, but the captured rows do not provide a reliable week-specific timestamp or enough wallet context to call a sweep. 8
Read: wait. The 7.29 WETH offer is the level that needs to repair before a 7.98 ETH floor becomes a credible entry signal.
CryptoPunks: green floor, unresolved breadth
CryptoPunks moved from 31.99 ETH to 32.27 ETH, while listed share held at 11.1%. The current collection page reports $129K in 24-hour volume, about 69.15 ETH at the report's ETH spot. 3
OpenSea's analytics panel also showed $983K and 13 sales, but the returned page did not label the period. That is enough to say the page is showing meaningful activity; it is not enough to compare it cleanly with a verified prior week. The activity page exposes a current $65.9K sale for CryptoPunk #8949 and a named profile, but no usable event timestamp or multi-item sequence in the captured evidence. That is a sale, not a verified weekly whale buy or sweep. 7 9
Read: keep it on the watchlist. The floor is positive, but 11.1% listed supply demands broader follow-through before the move deserves a breakout label.
Pudgy Penguins: the prior leader loses the floor
Pudgy is now 3.745 ETH, down 0.351 ETH from 4.096 ETH. The top offer is about 3.65 WETH, or 97.4% of floor, and the listed share rose to 3.0% from 2.7%. Its current 24-hour pulse is about 102.39 ETH, more than double the prior 49.09 ETH page reading. 4
This is the week's clearest warning against reading bid quality in isolation. Buyers are close to the floor, but the floor still moved sharply lower. Higher turnover alongside a lower floor is consistent with sellers finding liquidity rather than with a confirmed accumulation phase. The captured activity page did not return a timestamped multi-item sequence, so no sweep is confirmed. 10
Read: do not chase the tight bid. A reclaim of 4.096 ETH, followed by a stable offer near that level, would be more informative than another isolated volume spike.
Azuki: the only repair with a higher floor and higher supply
Azuki rose to 0.9183 ETH from 0.909 ETH. That is a modest 1.02% gain, not a return to the 1 ETH level. The top offer is about 0.878 WETH, or 95.7% of floor, while listed share increased from 4.9% to 5.1%. The current 24-hour pulse is about 30.45 ETH, up from 10.98 ETH. 5
The price move is constructive, but supply moved the wrong way. The activity page shows a current $2,303.64 sale for Azuki #7457, quantity one, with a named profile; it does not provide a usable week-specific timestamp or a repeated purchase sequence. One premium print cannot establish broad demand. 11
Read: the retest is alive, not complete. The signal improves above 1 ETH with a stable or falling listed share and a top offer that follows the floor.
Doodles: a tight spread without enough flow
Doodles was almost flat at 0.3833 ETH versus 0.3836 ETH, but the current 24-hour pulse rose to about 7.72 ETH from 3.66 ETH. The top offer is about 0.381 WETH, or 99.3% of floor, and listed share stayed at 2.7%. 6
The spread looks healthy because both the floor and offer are low. It does not tell us that buyers are present in size. OpenSea's page reports only $14.4K of current 24-hour volume, and its activity capture shows individual sales without a usable week-specific timestamp or verified sweep sequence. 12
Read: keep it last. A reclaim of 0.40 ETH with materially deeper volume would matter more than the current 99.3% offer-to-floor ratio.
Execution map
- Wait on BAYC: the 91.4% top-offer ratio is the weakest visible bid structure in the group, even with a lower listed share.
- Require breadth from CryptoPunks: 32.27 ETH is positive, but 11.1% listed supply and an unlabeled analytics period leave the move unconfirmed.
- Treat Pudgy as a failed follow-through trade: its bid remains close, but the floor fell 8.57%. Wait for a reclaim of 4.096 ETH.
- Use 1 ETH as Azuki's test: price is green, yet listed share is rising and the top offer still sits 4.3% below floor.
- Keep Doodles defensive: the offer is close, but low absolute volume leaves little evidence of durable demand.
Coverage limits
This report uses OpenSea collection and analytics pages for the NFT snapshots and CoinGecko's Ethereum market chart for macro context. The Blur BAYC page returned a verification shell, and the Magic Eden Ethereum BAYC page returned a not-found page. No cross-marketplace floor or arbitrage comparison is made.
OpenSea did not expose comparable seven-day volume totals, weekly sale counts, listing additions, listing cancellations, listing velocity, or unique weekly buyer and seller counts in this capture. Owner counts shown on collection pages are not substitutes for those weekly participant counts. Activity pages returned visible sales, but not enough timestamped wallet and quantity evidence to verify a weekly sweep or attribute a whale strategy. 2 3 4 5 6
The actionable signal is narrow: ETH was flat, Pudgy's close bid did not protect its floor, BAYC's offer gap widened in practical terms, and only CryptoPunks plus Azuki finished higher. This is a market for confirmation, not for assuming that last week's strongest bid will remain this week's strongest floor.
