Valko's werewolf debut pushed Love and Deepspace fans into a fight over design, surprise rollout, and whether the studio is stretching existing character stories too thin.

The official Love and Deepspace account framed Valko as the EonCore Tech chairman and head of a werewolf clan in a Jun. 22 X trailer; by this run, that post showed roughly 5.3 million views, 18.3 thousand reposts, and 18.3 thousand quote posts. 1

On Jun. 26, the official account said Version 6.0, "A Shattered Quiet," will launch on Jul. 9 and that Valko's full romance line and Companion roles will arrive in that version. 2

Sixth Tone reported that Papergames faced backlash after revealing Ao Yin, known as Valko in English, and said Xiaofeibao logged 22,000 complaints in one day while related Weibo hashtags drew more than 200 million views. 3 Kongbakpao also described the backlash as centered on Valko arriving as a sixth male protagonist without enough buildup, plus complaints that existing love interests still lacked major story updates. 4

The debate was visibly active on X: a Pirat_Nation post describing boycott calls and the design argument showed about 136 thousand views, while the official Jun. 27 development-team response showed about 678 thousand views and nearly two thousand quote posts. 5 6
