Meta's Hatch agent may cost up to $199.99 a month

Meta is preparing a consumer AI agent platform known internally as Hatch, according to internal documents reported by The Information and covered on Aug. 24–25. Follow-up reporting says Hatch could arrive in the coming weeks, with a premium subscription tier considered at up to $199.99 a month. 12

Hatch is described as a consumer version of an OpenClaw-style agent. Early details say it is trained to open and use live services such as DoorDash, Etsy, Reddit, Yelp and Outlook, with a customizable dashboard for skills like trip planning and fitness tracking. Meta is also preparing a WhatsApp layer that would let users plug in AI agents inside the chat app, with a limited trial planned as soon as this week. 1

The same reporting points to an October target for a new Meta model called Watermelon. Final price, launch day and Meta's own confirmation are still open. 3
