The Works
The Works

A fictional one-star car-wash complaint becomes a full Broadway showdown when a customer buys the top of the board — The Works — and drives home with an outside polished to a showroom gleam and an inside that never met a vacuum. A withering bass-baritone lead, a chirpy soprano attendant, a dry baritone manager reading from a laminated list of inclusions, and a sunny coin-operated vacuum that will not start without one dollar turn "The work didn't work" into a hook that gets louder every time somebody reads the small print.
The review is invented for this episode and is not a report from a real customer. Listen when you want a brisk theatrical rant about upcharges, small print, and the difference between the exterior and the interior — and stay for what the driver's door finally revealed: "The inside was mine."
