DC ended three of its horror anthologies in the 1970s and kept the narrators. Doorway to Nightmare launched Madame Xanadu in 1978 1; she went on to headline her own series and join Justice League Dark. Neil Gaiman's Sandman later revealed the narrator of Weird Mystery Tales 2 to be Destiny, Dream's older brother. The Witching Hour's 3 three witches — Cynthia, Mildred and Mordred — are filed in DC's database as the Kindly Ones. Michael Kaluta drew the first two covers.
