Paramount launched a unified games studio — and called games a "core pillar"

On June 8, Paramount announced Paramount Games Studio, folding in Skydance Interactive and Skydance New Media into a single division under President Tony Driscoll. Driscoll called games "a core pillar" of Paramount's content strategy — explicitly on par with film, TV, and streaming. 7

The Among Us animated series is co-produced by CBS Studios, which is Paramount's scripted studio. That means the same corporate umbrella now covers: the Among Us show, a new games-forward strategy, and a stated interest in turning IP into "lasting game franchises."
