Roblox morning briefing — October 27, 2026: Ken Carson's takeover nearly triples The Mimic, and Murder Mystery 2 settles at 190,000
Ken Carson's takeover sent The Mimic's player count up nearly threefold overnight, The Hollow named Hiachi ninety-five minutes after four more rewards landed, and Murder Mystery 2's collapse has levelled off at 190,009.
Ken Carson's Roblox takeover reached The Mimic on Monday evening, and the game holds 16,621 players this morning against 5,575 yesterday. 1
The Hollow named Hiachi, The Mimic's own monster, at 23:48 on Monday, ninety-five minutes after four more rewards began paying out. 23
Murder Mystery 2 holds 190,009 this morning, and its overnight fall is now in step with every other big experience. 1
This edition covers the 24 hours to 08:00 on Tuesday 27 October. Player counts were read at 08:08 Central European time.
Ken Carson's takeover is live, and The Mimic nearly tripled
The Mimic held 5,575 players at 08:08 on Monday. It holds 16,621 now, which is 2.98 times as many. 1
The collab opened at about 18:00 that evening. Ken Carson's own news account described a secret research facility, a deadly experiment loose inside it, and a limited lantern for finishing the event. 4
Roblox's page for the game now carries a second card beside its Halloween event. It reads "The Mimic x Ken Carson — an official collab event!", and it has a Join Event button. 5
The schedule came from a press release on 22 October. It lists integrations in The Mimic and Blade Ball on 26 October, Fisch on 31 October, and concerts in The Block on 30 and 31 October from 4 PM Pacific. 6
The Block has renamed itself for the run. Its listing now reads "[Ken Carson] The Block", with an event card marked Takeover Event. 7
That card is stamped Friday 30 October at 22:50 UTC, which is 23:50 Central European. 7
The artwork times the concert itself at 4 PM Pacific. That lands at midnight in Central Europe, going into Saturday. 67
The second show runs at the same hour on Saturday, which is the small hours of Sunday. 6
The takeover includes one free item. A Brazilian tracker listed the route on Monday: finish missions in Blade Ball, Fisch and The Mimic, then watch the show in The Block. That account puts the missions and the show ending on 1 November. 8
Blade Ball, the other game the release named for 26 October, draws 9,982 players. Its page carries no events section at all. 19
Shorts angle: film The Mimic's lobby now and set Monday's 5,575 beside today's 16,621. The room and the number together explain the jump.
The Hollow's fifth night: Hiachi, and four rewards that beat the name
Roblox posted at 23:48 on Monday: "critics are calling it 'inescapable.' Hiachi, now playing in The Hollow." 2
That post had 55,070 views and 581 likes by this morning. 2
Hiachi belongs to The Mimic, one of the nine experiences in the event. 10
So the same game was at the centre of both of this morning's stories, nearly six hours apart. 4
The rewards moved ahead of the name. Four badges joined the hub's list, stamped between 22:13 and 22:15. 3
| New reward | Awards | Stamped |
|---|---|---|
| Spore-Worn Traffic Cone | 392,628 | Mon 22:13 |
| Helmet of the Ossuary | 246,625 | Mon 22:13 |
| Hiachi Grin Mask | 213,342 | Mon 22:14 |
| Veil of Darkness | 141,830 | Mon 22:15 |
The hub now carries 26 rewards against 22 yesterday morning, and has handed out 26,332,101 awards in total. 3
The hub itself holds 34,433 players and 89,572,504 visits, against 25,024 and 76,744,372 yesterday. 111
Tonight's stream is Hiachi with Kim Left Arm at 13:00. Wednesday brings Mimic Anomaly with Kat at 20:00, and Thursday The Inspector with Itsjustnicholas at 20:00. 11
Each stream has carried the monster Roblox revealed the night before, which is how The Deer ran on Monday and Hiachi today. 211
If that holds, tonight's monster is the Mimic from Animal Hospital, and Wednesday's card is already named for it. 1011
The event runs to 2 November. The live finale begins on the morning of 31 October, and rewards stay collectable until noon Pacific on the last day. 10
Shorts angle: the badge list is a public scoreboard. Open it, read which of the four new items has the fewest awards, then film your own run at that one.
The Murder Mystery 2 crash is over; the game sits at 190,009
The game holds 190,009 players at 08:08, against 210,021 yesterday and 1,869,009 on Sunday. 1
| Morning | Players | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Fri 23 Oct | 657,229 | — |
| Sat 24 Oct | 1,274,657 | +617,428 |
| Sun 25 Oct | 1,869,009 | +594,352 |
| Mon 26 Oct | 210,021 | −1,658,988 |
| Tue 27 Oct | 190,009 | −20,012 |
All five readings were taken at 08:08 Central European. 1
Today's fall is 20,012 players, or 9.5 per cent. Steal An Egg lost 8.2 per cent overnight and Brookhaven 8.1. 1
That puts the game in line with the platform. Sunday's collapse is finished, and what remains is an ordinary Tuesday morning at a tenth of the weekend. 1
Roblox's chart puts it third, behind Steal An Egg on 912,500 and Brookhaven on 223,500. 12
On Monday the same tracker called it second worldwide, with the bots gone. 13
Roblox has still published nothing about the restriction. Every system on the status page reads operational, and the announcements board has added nothing since the weekly recap for 19–23 October. 1415
The only new signal from the game's own side is a testing server, where a fan tracker spotted two testers at 02:50 this morning. 16
Shorts angle: the number stopped being the story yesterday. Walk one public server now and let the audience count the players in the room against the 190,009 on the chart.
Top Fall Games to Watch
Every date below was read this morning from the game's own listing. Times are Central European.
- The Hollow — the event runs to 2 November, with the live finale on the morning of 31 October. Tonight's stream, Hiachi with Kim Left Arm, starts at 13:00. 11 Pitch: the finale runs on the morning of Halloween, so film the last night before it, then the finale in the same room.
- [Ken Carson] The Block — the first concert starts at midnight going into Saturday 31 October, and the second at the same hour into Sunday. 7 Pitch: midnight on a Friday is a bad time to be awake and a good time to be first. Film the room as it fills.
- The Mimic — the Ken Carson collab is live and its card carries no date, so there is nothing to wait for. 5 Pitch: the event's own hook is a monster singing a Ken Carson verse, which is a Short before you add anything to it.
- Fisch — FischFright 3 is live, and "Venue Encore — Underground Music Venue" is dated Saturday 31 October at 17:00, the day the release gives for the Fisch integration. 617 Pitch: film the venue before the music starts, so the clip has somewhere to go when it does.
- Tower Defense Simulator — Solar Requiem Night III is live, and Night IV opens on Friday 30 October at 17:00. 18 Pitch: clear Night III this week and hold the footage, so the Night IV clip opens on a round the audience watched you beat.
- Adopt Me! — Halloween Week 4 is live. 2D Tuesday starts at midnight into Wednesday, doubling bucks and XP, and the bonus weekend opens on Friday 30 October at 17:05. 19 Pitch: the same pet grinded inside the doubled hour and outside it, cut back to back, is the whole comparison.
- Dandy's World — the Halloween event is live, and "Final Week of Halloween!" opens on Friday 30 October at 20:00. 20 Pitch: Twisted Dandy is the monster the audience met in The Hollow, so film its home game while the event still runs.
- Animal Hospital — the Halloween update is live, and Halloween Part 2 opens on Saturday 31 October at 20:00, on Halloween night itself. 21 Pitch: film one clean shift now and keep it for the before-and-after when Part 2 lands.
