Retired LEGO Deals — May 14–15, 2026
Today's 5 best-priced retired LEGO listings ranked by rarity × discount — plus 3 to skip and a BrickRanker appreciation digest. Top deal: 10255 Assembly Square on Vinted at $180 (35.7% below MSRP).
The day's best-priced retired LEGO listings ranked by rarity and discount, spanning eBay, Mercari, Vinted, and Depop.
Inaugural edition. This first issue covers a three-month retroactive window (Feb 15 – May 15, 2026) alongside the 24-hour priority window (May 14–15), establishing the baseline for daily monitoring going forward. The 24-hour window produced three eBay listings; the broader window surfaced 22 additional listings across Vinted, Mercari, and Depop.
How listings are ranked
Each listing is scored on two axes: rarity (earlier retirement year, lower secondary-market supply, fewer total recorded sales) and discount strength (listing price vs. current market reference — PriceCharting sold average or BrickLink for-sale price, whichever is available). A listing priced at a premium over market is excluded from the ranked section regardless of rarity, because the deal dimension simply is not there. Incomplete listings carry a conditional flag rather than a rank.
Market reference prices are sourced from PriceCharting sold averages and BrickRanker (a BrickLink data aggregator). BrickLink's own listing pages were inaccessible during this collection run due to anti-bot protections, so individual BrickLink seller listings are not represented.
Top 5 listings this period
| Rank | Set | Platform | Condition | Price | vs. Market | Retirement |

Rank 1 · 10255 Assembly Square — Vinted, $180 (very good, complete)
Set: LEGO Creator Expert 10255 Assembly Square (a.k.a. the 10th Anniversary Modular Building)
Theme: Creator Expert — Modular Buildings
Year released: 2017 | Retirement: confirmed retired | Pieces: 4,002 | MSRP: $279.99
- Listing price: $180.00 1
- Discount: 35.7% below original MSRP
- Condition: Very good; 100% complete including all minifigures 1
- Platform: Vinted (a European secondhand marketplace now available in the US, viable for LEGO discovery)
- Seller signals: No verified badge visible in catalog data; individual listing page review recommended
- Make offer: Enabled — $180 may not be the floor
Assembly Square was the Modular series' 10th-anniversary release, notable for its corner-building footprint and denser minifigure roster than typical Modulars. The Modular Buildings line as a category has shown consistent post-retirement appreciation: its sibling set 10278 Police Station (retired Dec 2023) currently averages $409 on BrickLink despite a $199.99 MSRP — a 43% gain in under two years. 2
Authentication tip: Modular Buildings fakes are rare compared to licensed themes, but inspect minifigure face printing for pixelation or ink bleed. The Exclusive Minifigures in this set — including the jazz musician and coffee shop barista variants — have detailed dual-molded torsos that low-quality clones struggle to replicate. Ask the seller for a close-up of the torso printing before buying.
Rank 2 · 10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1 — eBay, $200 CIB
Set: LEGO Icons 10274 Ghostbusters ECTO-1
Theme: Icons (licensed, Ghostbusters)
Year released: November 2020 | Retirement: December 31, 2024 | Pieces: 2,352 | MSRP: $239.99
- Listing price: $200.00 (eBay listing #267651689529, sold April 30, 2026) 3
- Discount: −20.2% vs. PriceCharting CIB reference of $250.54 3
- Condition: CIB (Complete In Box, pre-owned) — all parts present, original box included
- Platform: eBay
- Seller signals: Listing details unavailable (eBay anti-bot blocked full page fetch); verify seller feedback score before purchasing
- Note: This was a sold listing — useful as a recent price anchor. Comparable April CIB listings ranged $200–$310 on eBay, indicating wide condition-based price dispersion 3
The ECTO-1 retired less than six months ago (Dec 2024), so its market is still settling. New sealed copies currently fetch around $312 on PriceCharting 3 — meaning a well-priced CIB at $200 still leaves significant room relative to sealed values.
Authentication tip: The ECTO-1 (10274) has not attracted widespread counterfeiting, but the Slimer minifigure (a translucent green ghost figure unique to this set) is a priority verification point. Authentic Slimer uses semi-transparent fluorescent green plastic; clones often appear murkier or use opaque green. Sticker placement on the car body should be crisp and symmetrical — sticker misalignment is a frequent sign of a rebuilt or incomplete set presented as CIB.
Rank 3 · 75978 Diagon Alley — eBay, $479.99 new sealed
Set: LEGO Harry Potter 75978 Diagon Alley
Theme: Harry Potter
Year released: September 1, 2020 | Retirement: December 31, 2025 | Pieces: 5,544 | Minifigures: 17 (15 exclusive) | MSRP: $449.99
- Listing price: $479.99 (eBay listing #257491300623) 4
- Discount: −4.5% vs. PriceCharting new reference $502.50; −9.4% vs. BrickLink US for-sale $529.99 4
- Condition: New, factory sealed, explicitly labeled "RETIRED" by seller
- Platform: eBay
- Seller signals: Listing page not fully retrieved; verify seller feedback before purchasing
- BrickLink 6-month sold avg (new): $450.65 — still near MSRP, with April 2026 sales spiking to avg $639.77 (14 sales) 5
Diagon Alley retired only five months ago. Its 17-minifigure roster — including Olivander, Florean Fortescue, and multiple Weasley family members — makes it one of the most minifig-dense Harry Potter sets in the catalog. The $479.99 eBay price sits below both major market references, which matters because Harry Potter sets typically appreciate once secondary supply dries up. April 2026's average sale of $639.77 signals that patient holders are already extracting premium, while this seller is priced conservatively. 5
Authentication tip: Harry Potter licensed sets attract a meaningful number of counterfeit listings, particularly for high-piece-count flagship sets. Request photos of: (1) the LEGO logo molded on each stud (genuine studs have clean, sharp embossing; fakes blur), (2) the minifigure printing quality on at least two characters from different buildings (specifically Florean Fortescue's apron printing and the Gringotts goblin torso detail), (3) the sealed factory sticker/tape on the box — it should show the LEGO holographic security strip.
Rank 4 · 75314 Bad Batch Attack Shuttle — eBay, $200 (sold)
Set: LEGO Star Wars 75314 The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle
Theme: Star Wars — The Bad Batch
Year released: August 1, 2021 | Retirement: December 31, 2022 | Pieces: 969 | Minifigures: 6 (5 exclusive: Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, Echo) | MSRP: $99.99
- Listing price: $200.00 (eBay listing #206268986321, sold May 12, 2026) 6
- Discount: −5.3% vs. PriceCharting new reference $211.10 6
- Condition: New in sealed box
- Platform: eBay
- Seller signals: Listing page not retrieved
- Context: Another concurrent eBay listing (#306935659382) sold the same day at $224.99 — a 6.6% premium over market reference, showing buyers are willing to pay above market for this set 6
The Bad Batch Attack Shuttle carries the strongest long-term appreciation case in this edition: from an MSRP of $99.99 to a current 6-month BrickLink sold average of $193.35 — a 93.4% gain — with May 2026's 14 recorded sales averaging $268.06. 7 The set's minifigure value alone stands at roughly $146.71 combined (Tech at $40.44, Wrecker at $33.53 being the most valuable), representing 76% of the set's current secondary value. 7 This is a sold listing — use the $200 price as a benchmark when scouting active listings.
Authentication tip: Bad Batch minifigures are a top counterfeiting target given their high individual values. For Hunter specifically, look for the dual-molded printed bandana and arm printing continuity — clones typically have a sticker-applied bandana rather than a printed one. Tech's helmet printing (the goggles detail over the forehead) should be sharp and fully centered. Request a photo of each figure face-on.
Rank 5 · 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens — Vinted, $400 factory sealed
Set: LEGO Ninjago 71741 NINJAGO City Gardens
Theme: Ninjago
Year released: January 2021 | Retirement: December 2024 | Pieces: 5,685 | Minifigures: 22 (19 exclusive) | MSRP: $349.99
- Listing price: $400.00 (Vinted, seller explicitly labeled "Retired. Factory Sealed.") 1
- Discount: approximately −12% vs. BrickLink recent sales average ($453.91 in April 2026, 18 sales) 8
- Condition: New with tags, factory sealed
- Platform: Vinted
- Seller signals: No timestamp on listing; no individual seller profile data retrieved from catalog view
Ninjago City Gardens retired just five months ago but its recent market has already moved above MSRP in a meaningful way. The 6-month sold average sits at $349.38 — nearly flat against MSRP — but April's 18 BrickLink sales averaged $468.21, and May's three recorded sales averaged $453.91. 8 The Vinted $400 price reflects a genuine discount versus where the market has actually been trading in recent months.
Authentication tip: NINJAGO City Gardens at this price point is unlikely to attract counterfeit box forgeries, but 22 minifigures means more opportunities for part substitution. Confirm the seller can photograph at least six to eight minifigures showing face printing and leg-arm color continuity. The set's distinctive multi-level garden architecture also serves as a structural authenticity indicator — request a photo of the assembled central shrine section if the seller has it built.

These three listings don't crack the Top 5 on the rarity × discount formula, but are worth monitoring or useful as price reference.
| Set | Platform | Price | Condition | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10254 Winter Holiday Train (2016, Creator Expert) | Vinted | $225 | New, factory sealed | MSRP was $99.99; 125% premium is steep, but 2016 sealed sets are genuinely rare — fair for serious train completionists 19 |
| 76014 Spider-trike vs. Electro (2014, Marvel Super Heroes) | Depop, @erick080 | $45 | New, sealed | 2014 release makes this genuinely scarce as a sealed copy; @erick080 has 16 sold, active this week 10 |
| 75954 Hogwarts Great Hall (2018, Harry Potter) | Depop, @a_marie_12 | $80 | Built, complete — no box | Originally $100; 20% off, all pieces plus instruction manuals included. No box knocks off significant resale value, but functional for builders 11 |

Three listings that appeared in the search window but do not meet buy criteria.
21335 Motorized Lighthouse — Mercari, $249 (used, missing minifigures and manual)
Listed by shinykarp (only 5 reviews, new account) at $249 — a 17% discount from the $299.99 MSRP. 12 Sounds like a deal until you read the description: no minifigures, no instruction manual. The seller notes "the minifigs it normally comes with are both less than $10 a pop," but replacement minifigures from BrickLink still require identifying the correct variants and paying shipping. A new seller with an incomplete listing at a thin discount does not clear the bar.
21333 Vincent van Gogh – The Starry Night — eBay, $149.90 new sealed
Seller Tech-Squads (shayekdeals, Orland Park IL, 13,956 feedback, 99.7% positive) is a high-quality seller. 13 The problem is price: $149.90 sits 17.1% above the PriceCharting new reference of $128.03, and BrickLink US for-sale listings average around $124.62. 14 The seller is reputable; the price is not a deal. Hold out for sub-$130 on this one.
75342 Republic Fighter Tank — Depop, @buildmorelegos, $50 new sealed
Seller @buildmorelegos (8 sold) is offering up to 13 copies simultaneously. 15 Bulk availability at this scale on Depop signals a reseller rather than a private collector liquidating. The set itself (262 pieces, $35.99 MSRP equivalent) has limited collector appeal at this size; the bulk availability means the "retirement scarcity" premium doesn't apply here.
Market context: how retired sets appreciate over time
Understanding where a listing sits in a set's appreciation curve matters as much as the listing price itself. Based on BrickRanker secondary market data, the three strongest performers among recently retired sets are:
- 75314 Bad Batch Attack Shuttle (retired Dec 2022): +93.4% from MSRP, May 2026 sales averaging $268 7
- 75252 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (retired Dec 2022): +58.4% from MSRP $699.99, April 2026 average $1,485 (7 sales — supply is tightening) 16
- 10278 Police Station (retired Dec 2023): +43.4% from MSRP $199.99, April 2026 average $409 2
Sets retired in late 2025 — including 75978 Diagon Alley and 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 — are still in their first six months post-retirement. The Lamborghini Sián shows a pattern worth watching: its 6-month sold average sits at $352.89 (a −21.6% dip from the $449.99 MSRP), yet January–May 2026 monthly data shows a recovery trend from $471 in January to $493 in May. 17 The first six months after retirement is often the weakest pricing window for large, recently discontinued sets — which is precisely when below-market listings like the Diagon Alley $479.99 are worth acting on.
Platform notes for this edition
eBay produced the only confirmed 24-hour window listings (Starry Night and Diagon Alley on May 14; Bad Batch Shuttle sold May 13). Seller data was partially blocked by eBay's anti-bot measures for four of five listings — verify feedback scores independently before purchasing.
Vinted surfaced 8 LEGO listings in the retroactive search, with listing timestamps unavailable in catalog view. The $180 Assembly Square and $400 NINJAGO City Gardens are the strongest entries. Depop produced 4 listings, with the 2014 Spider-trike at $45 being the most interesting for set-age collectors. Neither platform displays listing creation dates, so exact window placement cannot be guaranteed.
Mercari yielded 4 listings, including the May 12 Inquisitor Transport Scythe ($120 new, verified seller Bricks_and_Things with 188 reviews) 18 — a passable listing at 22% above BrickLink current price, not included in the ranked Top 5 but reasonable if you're specifically hunting this set.
BrickLink direct listings remain inaccessible — anti-bot protections blocked all fetches during this run. Secondary market pricing references throughout this edition use BrickRanker (a BrickLink sales aggregator) and PriceCharting sold averages as proxies.
