A $1,639 RF 24-70 and a $1,749 RF 200-800: five used floors as Canon cuts deeper

A $1,639 RF 24-70 and a $1,749 RF 200-800: five used floors as Canon cuts deeper

Five used-gear checks across Canon RF, Sony E and Nikon Z, led by a $510 fall on the Canon RF 24-70mm's floor, a real repricing on the RF 200-800mm whose Excellent grade fell with it, and a $1,309 A6700 that is the cheapest body this radar has recorded, each with its live grades, a dated comparison and an honest buy, wait or conditional-buy call.

Canon RF is the one mount still cutting prices this week. MPB's US storefront lists the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM from $1,639 across 58 copies. 1 That is $70 under the floor this radar published on September 25, and $510 under the $2,149 floor the same page carried on March 26. 2 The RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM has reached $1,749, from $1,769 on a September 28 archive and $1,879 on June 9, and its Excellent grade fell too, to $1,839. 345
Sony splits. The A6700 and the FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS each sit at the lowest price this radar has recorded. 67 Under two other Sony models the cheap stock is gone: the FE 20-70mm f/4 G listed Good copies at $754 on October 1 and now starts at $894, and the A7S III floor rose to $2,559 from $2,149 in July. 891011
Nikon and Fujifilm gave back last week's drops. The Nikon Zf's $1,319 floor, published here on October 9, is gone: 25 copies now start at $1,569, with Excellent at $1,629 and Like new at $1,659. 12 The Fujifilm X-T5's ungraded floor is back at $1,469 from $1,409 on September 28, while its Good grade held at $1,469. 1314
Every figure here was read on MPB's US and EU storefronts on October 16, 2026. A dated comparison is an archived copy of the same model page, named with its date and copy count; where no archive exists, the comparison is a floor this radar logged. EU prices convert at the European Central Bank's October 16 reference rate of $1.1253 per euro. 15
MPB grades on a five-step cosmetic scale — Like new, Excellent, Good, Well used, Heavily used — and a grade describes the outside of an item; actuation is a separate question. 16 MPB sells every copy below and publishes no per-listing transaction count or feedback percentage, so the dealer signal is the grade, the condition notes and the six-month US or twelve-month EU warranty. No page read this week published a per-copy actuation count, so each section says what to ask for before paying.
One model fails this radar's own filter: the Sony A7 IV floor of $1,429 is $140 under the October 2 archive, but this radar logged that copy on September 25 disclosing 208,697 actuations against a 150,000 rated life. 1718

Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM: the biggest fall, with the grade missing

Fifty-eight copies run from $1,639 to $2,239, and the page publishes no grade ladder today. 1 On September 25 this radar read the same model's $1,709 floor as a Well used copy, with Good at $2,019 and Excellent at $2,179, so the bottom of this range has been the worn tier before.
Both ends of the range have come down since March 26, when the page listed 29 copies from $2,149 to $2,419 — a model-level repricing. 2 Europe lists 20 copies from €1,949, about $2,193. 1521
Call: buy a named grade, and ask before you pay. The $1,639 copy carries no grade, and this lens's floor has been the worn tier before; ask for its grade, its wear notes and any marks on the front element, then take the step up. For the days the 24-70 stays home, the RF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM starts at $1,309. 22

Canon RF 200-800mm f/6.3-9 IS USM: the one graded tier that fell

Twenty-six copies run from $1,749 to $1,939, with Excellent at $1,839 and Like new at $1,939. 3 All three checks this radar holds sit above today's floor: $1,769 on September 28 and $1,879 on June 9. 45 The Excellent tier came down with the floor, from $1,879 to $1,839, so the range moved as a whole.
This is the cheapest way into 800mm on RF, and at f/6.3–9 it is a daylight tool. Europe lists 18 copies from €1,899, about $2,137, with Excellent at €1,999. 1523
Call: buy the Excellent at $1,839. It is $100 under Like new, it carries a named grade and the six-month US warranty. When two kilos of lens is too much, the RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM starts at $644. 24

Sony Alpha A6700: the smallest move, the largest stock

Eighty-six copies run from $1,309 to $1,389, an $80 band. 6 This radar picked the A6700 on June 12 at $1,319 and called it an all-time low then; the floor is $10 under that. The move is small; the stock is the largest of the five.
Only the US storefront could be read for this body, so no EU figure is quoted. MPB publishes no actuation count for the A6700, so ask for the copy's count and check that the mechanical shutter behaves at the fast end.
Call: buy at $1,309. A current-generation 26MP APS-C body at the lowest price this radar has recorded is the safest buy on this list. Pair it with the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary at $464. 25

Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS: a new floor that is not the copy to buy

Thirty-three copies run from $1,209 to $1,959 on MPB US. 7 That edges past the $1,219 floor of September 27 and the $1,239 of October 2. 1926
Europe is cheaper and more informative. Thirty-one copies run from €904, about $1,017, with Good at €1,409, Excellent at €1,759 and Heavily used at €949, and EU copies carry twelve months of warranty against the US six. 1527
The $1,209 floor carries no grade, and the September 27 archive's Good tier was $1,649, so ask about the zoom ring, the mount and any element marks. Call: wait on the US floor and buy the European Good copy at about $1,586, or the US Good tier when it comes back. For a G Master telephoto, the FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS at $444 covers the other half of the range. 28

Nikon Z5 II: the most camera for the money, with a serial to check

Twenty-three copies run from $1,429 to $1,529 on MPB US. 20 Europe lists 7 copies from €1,309, about $1,473, which makes the US side the cheaper one. 1529 The only archived capture of this page, from April 15, carries no price line, so this is a current opening; this radar holds no measured six-month low for the body.
Nikon's own advisory is the caveat. A technical service advisory dated March 17, 2026 covers a serial range of Z5II, Z6III and ZR bodies built with parts Nikon says do not meet its quality standards, which can leave the camera inoperable; repairs are free, shipping included, and no European-market Z6III is affected. 30
Call: conditional buy at $1,429, once the serial number clears Nikon's list, because a 24.5MP EXPEED 7 body at that price is the most camera here. Pair it with the Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S at $359. 31

Bottom line

Canon RF holds the week's two real moves: the RF 24-70's $1,639 floor and the RF 200-800's Excellent at $1,839, the only graded tier here that fell. The A6700 at $1,309 is the safest of the five, and the FE 100-400's US floor is worth leaving alone until someone names its grade. The Z5 II gives the most camera per dollar, provided its serial checks out first. Ask for the grade, the wear notes, the actuation count, the box contents and the warranty terms: US copies carry six months and EU copies twelve.
