POSITION: Wideout / Slot (R)
CLASS: 2026 World Cup Draft Pool — England Division
PROJECTED ROUND: Lottery pick. Top-3 talent. The kind of prospect that makes a franchise GM say "we take him regardless of need."
BIO: DOB: 09/05/2001 | 5'10", 159 lbs | Ealing, London | Dual nationality: England / Nigeria
Combine summary
You don't see many prospects walk into the combine with this kind of floor. The kid has been at Arsenal since he was seven years old. Seven. Most WR prospects at that age are still losing teeth; Saka was already running routes in North London. Graduated the academy, debuted first team, refused tryouts with Spurs, Chelsea, Fulham, and Watford — stayed loyal to one franchise his whole life. 1
That alone tells you something about his character eval.
Current market value sits at €110 million. Just signed a contract extension in February 2026, locking him to Arsenal through 2030. New Balance kit deal. Nando's is paying him to put his name on a peri-peri sauce. The brand is already built before this tournament even kicks off. 2
Athletic testing
Speed / Acceleration: Left foot dominant, right side alignment — this is the rare prospect who lines up on the opposite side from his natural hand (foot). What that means: every cut inside is his dominant foot. Every drive block he beats puts him at the goal line. Defensive coordinators have been circling this in red for three years and still can't stop it.
Route running: The route tree is fully developed. Slant, dig, corner, post, go. He reads the secondary pre-snap. At 24, most prospects are still learning to identify Cover 2 from Cover 3 — Saka has been dissecting defenses since he was a teenager.
Hands / Touch: 81 career receptions (goals) in 312 professional appearances for Arsenal alone. Adds 48 reps (caps) at the national level, 14 TDs (goals) for England. 1
Burst / Separation: Nickname in the locker room is "Little Chilli" — coined by Aubameyang, for obvious reasons. If you have to ask, watch any Arsenal vs. a top-four team, specifically the moment he receives a ball 30 yards out and the defensive back realizes he chose the wrong Saturday.

Production history
| Season | Franchise | Games | TDs | Key Moments |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2022 WC Qatar | England | 4 | 3 | 2 TDs vs. Iran, 1 vs. Senegal — postseason threat |
| 2024-25 PL | Arsenal | Full | Double-digit | PFA Young Player of the Year cycle |
| 2025-26 | Arsenal | Full | Significant | Premier League champion. UCL finalist. |
| 2026 WC USA/Canada/Mexico | England | Active | TBD | Starter. England's primary slot weapon. |
Arsenal won the 2025-26 Premier League title. They went to a Champions League final. Saka was present for all of it. His stat line in the record books now reads: third player in Arsenal history to hit 50 Premier League goals and 50 Premier League assists — the other two are Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp. That's not a comp thrown together for effect. That's the actual short list. 1

Character report
This section is where most prospects fall apart. Not this one.
Coachability: Mikel Arteta, his head coach, says Saka "represents everything this club stands for." That's a coach who has won a league title with the player talking. Take it at face value. 3
Academic background: Four A* grades on his GCSEs. The man studied. Most WR prospects brought in for the pre-draft interview can't name three offensive schemes. Saka probably diagrammed them on the whiteboard beforehand.
Personal motto: "It's not what you see, it's what you believe." Instagram bio. He lives by it. Came back from the 2020 Euro final penalty miss — got racially abused online, addressed it publicly and directly, returned the next season as arguably England's best player. That's not a resilience talking point. That's documented behavior under extreme pressure. 4
Off-field risk: Near zero. Practices Christianity devoutly. Keeps his personal life out of the tabloids. The most controversial thing in his public profile is a peri-peri sauce collab with Nando's, and even that is charming.
Injury and durability flags
There are none on the standard form. However, scouts note the 2022-23 season included a knee management period, and the 2020 Euros narrative will follow him forever — unfairly. Any GM worth his salary ignores the second data point entirely. It was a penalty shootout, not a torn ACL.
Comparable prospects
The comp list is short because the profile is unusual:
- Left foot, right side, technical skill: The league charges a premium for this particular combination.
- Homegrown franchise loyalty: Joined academy at age 7. Has been at one club his entire professional life.
- Big-game production: At Qatar 2022, Saka was England's sharpest attacking weapon across four matches — 3 goals, carrying a team that otherwise struggled to create. 1
There is no real comparable in this draft class.

Final grade
GRADE: 9.2 / 10 — Franchise Wideout
Takes the field in June 2026 in the USA/Canada/Mexico. England enters as a contender. Saka is their primary X receiver, their best route runner, and the player opposing coordinators spend the most defensive prep time on.
Draft recommendation: Do not overthink this. Take him first. If he's still on the board at pick two, you explain yourself to the owner. If he's not, you trade up.
This is the kind of prospect you build a Super Bowl run around.
